A MAN'S TOPIC: Why are They Obcessed with sex?

Seeing as there is an abundance of topics on the subject of women, I decided to make one about a trait of man: sex drive.

So why do you think men (and if you are a burly man, you) are obsessed with the goal of sex.

I for one think it dates back to the fact that in most insect colonies, any male organism has literally one purpose: to mate. This theory holds strong going up to mammalian animals like Gorillas and Lions.

OBSERVATION NUMERO UNO: A lot of chords have been struck in this topic with most of the severely condescending comments saying I'm stereotyping men as brainless trees with dildos attached to them. While I respect your opinion, try not to take this personally.

Secondly I would like to commemorate some of the more noteworthy intersting THEY'RE POSTS THAT I LIKE:

The male's biological imperative is to spread his seed to as many willing females as he possibly can.

The female's biological imperative is to seek out the single best male with which to share her genes. This is the female's way of enacting semi-population control, thereby insuring the species doesn't become ruled be genetic deformities and mental retardation.

I'm not obsessed with sex. I'm obsessed with anything that causes me pleasure.

This question is formed in a manner that suggests that women don't also want sex. They do. This is the hardest lesson I ever had to learn.

I think it's genetically ingrained into us. Males in other mammalian societies often have harems of mates, as they want to spread their genes as widely as they can. It's programmed, really.

Hey, women are obssessed with it too.

The difference is, women know when they can get it, whether it's reasonable to go for it, and are in almost complete control of it.

Men on the other hand don't tend to think ahead like that. We're not great multi-taskers.

It is viewed as a fault in society because men have been represented as chauvinistic pigs who only want sex. It is a gross misunderstanding. Some men are like that. Other men are gentlemen.

It is just that there a so few gentlemen these days that men are stereotyped into being pigs who are hungry for sex.

You said it, biology, men tend to have more of a sexual drive to spread the seed around more so there's more of a chance their offspring will survive. Women tend to have less of a sex drive so once they have a child, they will raise it so it has a better chance to survive. Not that I'm saying men should go around spreading their "seed" and women should stay home and watch the kids, just saying from a evolutionary stand point
