A modern depiction of an Assassin in Assassin's Creed 3 is possible

After all the training with Ezio, and all of Leonardo's inventions with the hidden blade, I imagine Desmond having modern twin hidden blades and hidden guns. I also imagine the two hidden guns combined to become a modern and compact sniper rifle for long-ranged assassinations.

As for his conflict with enemies with guns, I think he stands fairly a chance melding with a large crowd on the cityscape. They could also equip him with a timed stealth camouflage or some sort. His speed in free-running also makes it hard for non-assault-rifle weapons to hit him.

These are all just my imagination concocting up some weird possible dream game in mind, but I think it's possible for a modern day Assassin's Creed to be fun.

yeah it could be pretty sweet, and you don't see police men with assault rifles to often.

EDIT: and women, I have to stay politically correct!

Hopefully a nice selection of silenced weapons, a garotte and a poison dart gun and i'll be happy.

I don't think the climbing would be fun with modern buildings. Part of the beauty of AC is that roofs are always a quick escape. And a 10+ story building is not a quick climb.

So, Assanssin's Creed 3 is a Hitman clone with parkour for added fun?
Pretty much. It just needs to be as fun as Assassin's Creed 2 in terms of gameplay and replayability, and add more into the mix.

I think we can all agree it would be fun. However, I think we can all also agree that it probably won't happen in Ass Creed 3.

Ass Creed 3 has already been set up to take place in the past again, and I have heard alot of rumors about WWII being the setting.

Though, the least they could do is mix in a little present time gameplay with the past. Something like Desmond doing other things outside the Animus.

Hmmm. Maybe I was wrong with the word "modern day." To me, The Assassin's Creed could be a little more futuristic in terms of setting considering something like the Animus exists.

Still...In the future, we're likely to continue building taller and taller buildings, as land becomes scarcer.

The first: late 12th century.
The Second: late 15th century if the wiki is to be believed.
Third: late 18th century if it would go on like this.
The French revolution baby!

Guns and sabres, huzzah. Leave the modern stuff aside for a little longer, will you?

He would use silenced pistols, machine guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, and grenades for everything.
That's right.
Silenced. Grenades.

They aren't policemen though. They're templars and they are trying to find supernatural objects which would allow them to take over the world. If that was me then I wouldn't hesitate to mow down a group of people.

Assassin's Creed 3: Vice City. I will so run a ***** over in my maserati just for the kicks of it. I'd run over kittens too if it meant I didn't have to do the platform puzzles like the assassins tombs had.

The Assassin's Tomb actually was fun and a challenging platformer. It feels like a much more fun puzzle platformer than PoP.

I imagine floating tech stuff like hoverboards or hovering platforms for easier free running in tall buildings. Although that would be a stretch.

I really hope not. There are too many WWII games on the market at the moment...

Personally, I found the Assassins Tombs to be VERY entertaining. I've always been a fan of Runny Jumpy Climby Puzzly. Well, most of the time anyway.
