She actually has a pretty decent voice for a 12-year-old. It says a lot about the music industry right now that talent is swept under the rug in exchange for pumping out auto-tunes.

It also says a lot about people that there are so many making fun of a 12-year-old (or 13 in Rebecca Black's case) girl for singing. If you hate them so much, stop sending their videos around to all your friends, stop listening to it yourself, and stop talking about it all the time. Some people put more energy into hating these girls than I put into liking my favorite bands. If you don't like it, the best thing to do is just ignore it and it will eventually go away. Before posting this, many of the people in this thread had not heard the song, now there are almost 200 comments which seems like the video now has several more views. Giving them more YouTube hits only makes the videos seem popular, which just means that talent will continue to get tossed aside. But that would be too easy, wouldn't it?
it makes them seem popular until they look at the "like/dislike" ratio

Doesn't matter, views are views. They're making ad revenue and press from all the hits and that's the bottom line. This shit also isn't new. This woman had no singing talent. At all. Yet she still got the opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall, one of the most prestigious concert venues in the world. It's been going since before Jenna Rose or Rebecca Black's grandparents were born.

Check the upload date.

This has been out since October.

Just sayin'.
Pretty much this.

It's this song that actually made me like Rebecca Black. This stuff's just plain shit.

Also, am I the only person that thinks the name 'Jenna Rose' sounds like a pornstar's...?

No your not.

So far I have not subjected myself to friday because I don't even want to go so far as developing an opinion on it. I was slightly tempted to subject myself to this but after the first volley of attacks on it I will spare myself the demeaning result of forming an opinion.
In otherwords, I feel these things are likely so bad that simply watching them will drop my IQ a few points.
(Disclaimer: No agro ment to anyone who does or does not enjoy it, OTT statements ment sololy for humorous expression of personal opinion)

Singing about jeans while wearing a skirt? Oh goodie...

And to everyone whose happiness in life just went missing, here's Mama Odie:

Right, so I actually had the courage to listen to it, and I didn't like it. I can respect those who do, but... If this is the kind of music that will be playing on the radio where I live from now on, I will never put it on again.

Also... Why is she driving a car? She looks like she's twelve!

What i find impressive is that listening to some of her other songs she is actually preety talented for her age. Then she went auto-tune with this one and wrecked her reputation for forever...
Even though i hate that song i hope the best for her.

I think it isn't half as catchy as 'Friday'. I couldn't stop listening to that damn song when I heard it :D

(goes and listens to 'Friday' for the 100th time)

I also believe anything with auto-tuning should be thrown out as rubbish. If you can't sing, don't go public with it. Except dogs on autotuning, cuz that's funny as hell.
I had to watch the Mishka video, because it's amazing.

And, firstly, this song is so awful that I'm proud I actually hate pop and much more prefer Porcupine Tree and secondly, those jeans looked awful.

I am heavily confuzled right now.
Wow. I'm not even American and even I know she got the melody way off at 1:25!

Edit: well, more like 1:28...
She doesn't have the range to sing it the real way, so she had to change keys and then change the melody a little to keep it down.

Well, i thought it was impossible...but there is a song (a new one) that is worse than Miss Rebecca Black (who sings the hideous Friday)

I mean...really?!?! is this the way music is going now? if so i aint getting into it, and i'm a sucker for pop stuff (hell i don't mind Justin Beiber for go sake).

Your thoughts guys? even though i can already imagine what you guys are going to think/say xD
I really, really, really miss when there wasn't autotune in music, I also miss when you had to be talented to get a career in music. Now, if you would excuse me I'm going to go drown myself trying to forget about that song or just listen to Rautier for the next several days.

What is with this template I've been seeing lately? I was totally able to call it, too: "After the white girl and her white friends have finished two verses, there will be a black guy rapping." They gave it a twist, though -- there were two black guys.

Also, they never appeared in the same scene. The black guys got their scene, and the white girls got their scene, and never 'tween the two shall meet.
