Well, i thought it was impossible...but there is a song (a new one) that is worse than Miss Rebecca Black (who sings the hideous Friday)

I mean...really?!?! is this the way music is going now? if so i aint getting into it, and i'm a sucker for pop stuff (hell i don't mind Justin Beiber for go sake).

Your thoughts guys? even though i can already imagine what you guys are going to think/say xD
I see you like giving stuff that you don't like free publicity.

Did you know that Rebecca Black's "Friday" and Jenna Rose's "My Jeans" are both by the same company?

Did you also know that the only reason why Rebecca Black got famous is because someone posted her video on his "worst music ever" blog? She's now earning about $20,000 a week, and it's ONLY because people who didn't like her stuff kept posting it and getting her attention.

There's a lesson there, somewhere.
I don't mind that, I think Rebecca Black deserved a better shake then what she got.

Jenna Rose though... I'm hoping I forget her and that the internet does too.

If not... well, hopefully Ark Music Factory will eventually feel the pain of being known as the worst music label out there, and people will stop signing up.
Are you kidding? Probably more people want to sign up now than ever before, given how much of a cash cow it's becoming thanks to all the haters.

Personally, I prefer 'My Jeans' to 'Friday', i just find it much less annoying
by no means is 'My Jeans' a good song, it is just the lesser of two evils

... wow.

Friday was so bad it was good. This was so bad it was terrible. I struggled to get through the entire thing: at least Friday entertained me and was mildly catchy. This was just repetitive, asinine, and annoying. My gosh, this is terrible.

Some songs just cant be bad no matter what you do to them.

OT: Well, I just recently got into the Kpop-jpop scene which was timed with the decline of Western pop. So I'm well enough off.
But anyone else notice that all the talent seems to be in the spoofs, parodies, and remixes?

Posting a video on the Escapist is hardly going to boost her income is it? Considering 99.9% try to stay as far away as possible.

And i thought Rebecca was only famous cause of Youtube and how the hell is she earning money? who in their right mind would buy it? :S

Not 99.9%, more like 86%. I just looked on YouTube and Rebecca Black has 2,771,573 dislikes and 386,100 likes. Do the math and that's about a 7 to 1 ratio of dislikes to likes. In other words, for every 7 people who hate it, one person goes "hmmm.. I don't mind that, actually". Now - how many people have viewed this thread?

And remember, the initial spark that got her fame was someone posting her video on a well-known blogger's music hate blog.

She's earning money because the song is on iTunes and people are hearing it for free on YouTube and then downloading it. Over two million of them. Source: http://www.metrowny.com/news-entertainment/archives/894-Rebecca_Black_already_a_millionaire_with_iTunes_sales.html

Yeah I saw this a while back after I tried to research what kind of horrible cretins would unleash Friday upon an undeserving world (Ark Music Factory, in case you were wondering whose offices to firebomb)

I think all those who excessively hate music like this will only make it more popular and even make the "genre" more widespread.

She actually has a pretty decent voice for a 12-year-old. It says a lot about the music industry right now that talent is swept under the rug in exchange for pumping out auto-tunes.

It also says a lot about people that there are so many making fun of a 12-year-old (or 13 in Rebecca Black's case) girl for singing. If you hate them so much, stop sending their videos around to all your friends, stop listening to it yourself, and stop talking about it all the time. Some people put more energy into hating these girls than I put into liking my favorite bands. If you don't like it, the best thing to do is just ignore it and it will eventually go away. Before posting this, many of the people in this thread had not heard the song, now there are almost 200 comments which seems like the video now has several more views. Giving them more YouTube hits only makes the videos seem popular, which just means that talent will continue to get tossed aside. But that would be too easy, wouldn't it?

It's not really new, but yeah, she is much worse.
And she's a proper stuck-up *****.
She wrote a song in response to how much people hated that song. Listen to the lyrics and watch the video and your hate for her will be all the greater.

Apparently we're all jealous. Someone please shoot it. Like, now.
Shoot it? God no man, that's to nice...

NUKE IT! NOW!
KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE! but yeah, both are horrible and i literally contemplate suicide listening to them, realising how low humanity sunk by allowing these songs to be released, the i play "disturbed - The Game" and its all good :p
