You know, I've said in the past that the games industry lacks maturity and consideration for internal consistency within our stylized representation of reality.
But today I take it all back when I saw this video on GamesTrailers.com:

I cant believe that I ever considered that AAA games could insult women on a grandiose scale.
This character is clearly the modern presentation of a strong confident female character being shown her rightful place in the social order.
What am I saying? I don't need to tell you dear reader: it's obvious and self-evident to any rational thinking mind.
Just listen to the descriptions of her origins as 'Created in the flesh pits...' as we all know that is where women are born. See her bestial animalistic nature, a mirror like portrait of the female mind, and her costume; designed to blind her opponent with her beautifully crafted feminine form rather than defend her untoned and muscled body in the midst of mortal combat, such as that which silly plates of armour would. And of course, lets not forget her relationship with her male peers; see her languidly lie down at the feet of the enthroned and armoured male, showing her in her rightful place.
Granted, it?s not totally accurate; they did forget the kitchen and apron, but it?s a game after all, we expect total realism.
No one wants that.
From this day forth, let no one ever say 'The games industry employs twelve year old boys to design its games' for if they do, we have game trailers such as these to correct them.
[For the record: this IS sarcasm, I'm disgusted, I'm 26, male, a games designer, and I want to crush someone?s skull for this...this...thisness...]
