I'd only get the PS3 for exclusives, and Blu-Ray player, but I honestly have never used the Blu-Ray. However, if you have no interest in the exclusives, stay with your 360.
5 years? I'd be surprised, a ten year life for a fixed platform would be incredible. The only way they could get away with that is if they believe that between them they have the market sewn up and they both agree not to scoop the other. Even then the PC will be stomping all over consoles over the next 5 years if they stay fixed.sabercrusader said:even if devs have been saying that, last year microsoft and sony both said that they planned on having the 360 and ps3 last another five years so i don't think the next gen is going to come up too soon.Continuity said:Is now really a good time to buy any console? some developers are starting to say that the current gen has been maxed.. can't be more than a year or two before the next gen starts to tip up.

Not LittleBigPlanet...? not Little Big Planet. Not LittleBigPlanet...AnAngryMoose said:Currently I own an Xbox 360 and do all my gaming from there, but there are a few PS3 games which look like they're really worth having a look at. For starters, MAG looks like a helluva lot of fun and I also heard that DC Universe Online will be coming to the PS3 as well as the PC which I really want to check out.
I just want to ask you (especially PS3 owners) if it's worth it for games like this and if there are any others worth checking out (Not LittleBigPlanet!)
ME2 is coming to PS3 you know.Daemascus said:No. Get the new XBox 360. And then get Mass Effect 1 and 2.
NO! He should get a PC and then ME 1 & 2. Much better deal we have there.Daemascus said:No. Get the new XBox 360. And then get Mass Effect 1 and 2.
The PlayStation 2. Ten years and still going pretty strong.Continuity said:5 years? I'd be surprised, a ten year life for a fixed platform would be incredible. If you truly love shooters you don't use a 360 anyway. It's either PC or PS3 with Unreal Tournament 3 and Time Crisis 4, and if Move turns out good SOCOM 4, RE5, Killzone 3 and many more to come. Playing an FPS with a control pad is a travesty.NameIsRobertPaulson said:After my 360 bricked, I got a PS3 and haven't looked back. Unless you love, and I mean LOVE shooters, go with the PS3.
I've been playing Disgaea 3 so long that I freak out if it's not in my drive when I boot it up.
