I'm not sure, maybe its because nipples are on boobs, and boobs are amazing? I'm not sure but I've seen plaenty of TV shows with boobs in them...at around 11PM onwards.

In the UK we can see full boobies.
And dongs provided it's only for "humourous purposes" - (oh, look, he's caught with his nob out, har har har and so forth)... no vaginas, fellatio, intercourse or the like though. Which is why people who pay for TV Porn are idiots.
Indeed we can. One of the reasons I love Peep Show; they look testing the boudaries!

On Topic: This is a double standard that just shouldn't exist. There is no logical reason I can come up with as to why seeing men's nipples are better than seeing woman's nipples.

What damage would be caused if nudity was allowed on Television?

Nation wide riots, a massive drop in civility and intelligence, Bankrupcy and global disasters?

It's the same as asking why a woman's ankles would engender thoughts of lust within a man while a man could wear shorts and think nothing of it. It's a sort of lingering feeling a woman's body should remain covered lest it make all men into slavering sex addicts.

But clearly all those randy women drooling over actors from Supernatural, Twilight etc. are to be discounted for whatever reason the government sees fit :D

It is most likely to prevent embarassment. Imagine, suddenly they show them on tv before the watershed. Men all over the world will be walking hunched over with red faces...

Women don't have this problem, you can't tell that a woman is 'turned on' by looking at her, but you can with a man...

It's the censors being wacky again. A man's chest is not a sexual object, but a woman's chest is one. How many women just laughed?
"Oh women and all you importance in society, If I was a women I would probably laugh but instead I have unimportant nipples." :(

BTW: "Since were on the subject of nipples...
*Laughs immaturely*
...Why is my right nipple larger then the other." 0-o
"And sometimes I can cut glass with then...

*Now imagines a thief cutting a glass window with his nipples to break into a house more quietly*

"I am going insane please ignore me." :D

It is still a man's world. They cannot let them be exposed and flaunted like a peice of meat for other guys would want to take. Besides, they wouldn't want it to be de-valued if it were to be passed around.

Why are men's chests allowed? Well, in hopes that they get men to look at other men, they get men to touch their bromance inside so they may change their sexuality. Eliminating the competition means more women's boobs for them.

I myself always thought that it was because women are more modest than men. And in order to show off the nipple, the breasts can't be very well-supported. Which isn't very healthy.

I think that makes more sense than the sex-object stuff.

Wait, do the censorship rules regard nipples or the breasts themselves? Would a woman be able to walk around on TV topless but with those Band-Aid dot thingies over her nipples?

Actually, you can - the nipples get rock hard :D face often flush, and by god the eyes! :)

Ofc, not as obvious as the boner.

What always got me were pasties...
I went to a CRUE concert once that had topless women, but their nipples were covered by fake nipples, and this made it okay for 14+ audiences. seriously, what kind of a world do we live in where there is a market for fake nipples that go over real nipples so children can look? although i think in the USA you have to wear them to be a stripper, that may just be certain states or a vicious rumor i'm trying to start though.

I never understood why you could show all of a women's breast BUT the nipple, it never made any sense to me.

My nipples don't get hard if I'm turned on... Only if I'm cold, or if you touch them.

Because a woman's chest is a beautiful thing, while a man's chest is a flat, hairy, unappealing thing.
Censors don't allow beauty on TV, why do you think Jersey Shore is so popular?

Because networks are run by men, and the general public opinion on chest nudity in women is that its pornographic.

Its like why women wear something to cover their breasts when they go swimming and mean only have to wear trunks/speedos
