You misunderstand me, I was asking if we had members of the forum who believe that unwanted pregnancies are solely a woman's fault, because we've had a few posts that seem to suggest that certain posters think that men are totally blameless.
Ah, my bad, I thought you were referring to the creators of the program, not the forum goers.
Sorry about that

It's just Governments being morons agian. That's like giving yobs free stuff to not go out and shank someone's face! Ha! What a joke, wait... Damnit! Our Government are morons too.

Now this guy had the right idea. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/6399961.stm If you ocupy thier time with something else, they won't be able to go out and do these kinds of things. The Government needs to realise it can't buy it's way out of every situation.

If you take away the culture surrounding it, It will most likely decline. This will probably work for most things, including guys an' gals that can't seem to keep it in thier pants, or are too stupid to take advantage of (free in the UK. Not sure about US) contraception.

Far be it from me to kick the living crap out of political correctness, but unless you're giving that woman a pregnancy test everyday then you've no way of knowing. It also means that Lesbianism is seen as "healthier" than Heterosexuality (which you may or may not agree with), and is anyone REALLY going to stop a woman claiming because she's been knocked up against her will?

Here's a radical solution: Give these people reason to start families rather than just have kids. Spend all that money on getting both genders educated, taught that they can't just rely on the state for handouts and keep the Government off our backs with their Big Granny approach.

Yep just throw money at it, that's the way you solve a problem like this. I would have more to say but with the lack of common sense in this I'm guessing it's already been said. The_root_of_all_evil sums it up pretty well anyway.

I don't agree on handing out money to bribe teens into not getting pregnant. And as the saying goes, 'it takes two to tango'. Both should shoulder the blame not just one.

Can I just ask for a clarification here? Do we really have people suggesting that women should shoulder the entirety of the blame for accidental pregnancies?
Sadly, reading some of the comments here, like these:

Also, it is true that women are responsible for getting pregnant, unless they were raped. They have a choice to have sex or not.

It is the woman's fault if she gets pregnant. You can't try and pass that off to the guy. She made the choice to have sex, and must suffer any, and all, consequences that it entails.

You shouldnt have to bribe girls to stop them getting pregnant at an early age, its just nuts and as far as I know the school system is strapped for cash as it is. Why dont they just tackle the root of the problem and find out why girls are having babies so young and educate them on why its a fucking stupid idea.
I would have to say the answer to you question is a headdesky "yes." Some people are putting the blame entirely on the women, basically slut-shaming them by saying they should have kept their legs closed.

Both parties are responsable, really.
I don't see how giving one dollar a day to girls who don't get pregnant will stop people having sex, really.

Who else are you going to blame?
The men?
For having sex with them?
And impregnating them?
Yeah because we all have this magical power where we control the girls minds.
They are literally unable to say no. They can't refuse to have sex without a condom.
Yup, sure loves me that power. -.-;;;
Yeah sounds like the OP is full of feminist bullshit. Where every act of sex is rape what a load of bollocks.

This has absolutely nothing to do with Political Correctness. I think people need to stop taking anything that they don't like and slapping the label, "Politically Correct" on it so everyone else knows that the hive mind is supposed to hate it.

Minor griping aside, I think its an admirable idea, but I think it will fail in execution. Your going to be giving a large amount of money to many, many girls that could be spent actually helping them through some program. Its not enough to inspire then to change there lifestyle, especially seeing how getting pregnant is an uncertain proposition anyways. Basically, a ton of girls are going to be having sex but be lucky enough to not get pregnant and get a few free bucks, no one is going to be in the heat of the moment and think, "But my dollar!", and you will have no money left for sex ed programs, or to help that girl who does get pregnant. Show me a study that says it works and okay, but I doubt it exists/

Is there a problem with teen pregnancy? Isn't this how we continue humanity? They should be paying me to impregnate people.

$20 a month will not persuade them otherwise.

AngloDoom, how many days are in a month??
Also there seem to be ALOT of macho dipshits on this forum, I AM a bloke so dont take this as sexist, but inferring that the only 1 to blame for a pregnancy is the woman is somewhat naive. Yes, unless it is rape she has given consent, and presumably without a condom. But the possibility peer pressure may have to pla in this is overlooked, how many will feel pressured into it, and how many more pressured into doing it without a condom (something a dollar a day could probably go towards)

No, no. That's crazy talk. All teenage pregnancies are the cause of cheap whoring teens. And one dollar a day will present whoring teens with a good, Christian and moral choice.. Obviously, this is incidentally the perfect level of involvement the state should have in people's lives. And there's NO CONTRADICTIONS here, and if you see them you need to pray more for forgiveness, you poor misguided bad person who will go to hell anyway.

Really? Isn't this, like, bribing? WTF? If my fellow classmates wanna fuck up and make a baby, then go for it. I'll watch them fall and laugh at them. But bribing them? Like I said in the "Google criticized for Tetris logo" discussion, this makes me sad to be an American.
