Well, I really don't think Yahtzee would've enjoyed that tongue-bath, should he ever read this thread, which let's face it he won't because I can't help but feel your "review" stands for everything he doesn't.

On another note, yes Yahtzee is epic, it doesn't mean you should go all fan-boy quite so loudly, though.

Ah, leave the noob alone. *whisper* ZP rocks *whisper*. Saying more than that, in anything above a whisper provokes his wrath.

We all had a smattering of fanboyish glee about ZP at some point. I went back and watched all the old reviews when I joined up, even for games I'd never heard of. It's out of the system now.

Oh, and while I'm here, I've always thought of ZP as more an Op-Ed on Games in general. A ***** about one game is really a "Why do games keep doing these things". The Turok review is a good example.

Enjoy the escapist dude.

I think Yahtzee might be getting his politics wrong, you see democarts are the heartless fiends with no sign of compasion

I'm pretty sure Yahtzee would strangle you if he actually cared for what you said.
You're assuming Yahtzee reads it. :)
Actually, i'm of the opinion that he has recently started to do so. In his newer columns and videos he's referenced some of the user commments and whatnot. Just between you and me, i think he's trying to connect a bit more with his fan following. Maybe he's selling out or something. You didn't hear it from me >_>

I'd say i quite enjoy ZP myself, and i don't mean to sound arrogant by this comment, but i think it's largely because of the fact that i see a kindred spirit of sorts in him. Most video games tend to irritate me when they resort to cliche plot (ie. most JRPG's), silly game mechanics they put in 'just because every game needs one of those,' and all things fanboy/fangirl/otaku related aggravate me to no end. I also actually understand many of those obscure references and musics he likes to put in his videos. Spouting random gibberish or making obscure allusions to other things is quite the habit of mine as well ;p

Still, i think he overdoes it sometimes; he has his good and bad reviews. This weeks' monkey island review was sub-par, imho. but people laugh anyways because he says 'vawjiner' really fast in a british accent.

I thought you were joking when I read the first paragraph, but I was sadly mistaken.
Don't get me wrong, I love ZP, but that was the biggest spew of fanboyism I have seen in a while.

I love ZP and watch it a lot, but not to find out if a game is worth getting. I watch it just for giggles

I don't think a review of Zero Punctuation was really needed. Nearly everyone on this site is here because of him. But I fully agree that ZP is awesome.
I came for the Unforgotten Realms and stayed for the Yahtzee. I've been a fan since a couple months before "6 Days a Sacrifice". Yes, Yahtzee has pre-Zero Punctuation fans.

He's been officially in the big leagues for quite some time now.

Zero Punctuation really does just breakdown a game and tell you what every "semi" normal person will be getting from the video game that they are playing. That is what makes that series great

I second this. But the paradoxical irony is awesome... The fanboy-ism? Not so much.

Can someone explain to me how a person known for his hatred of fanboyism now has his own personal army of them?
That's easy, because people are complete retards that are incapable of anything but completely missing the point.

Yatzee: "Don't be fanboys"
Fans: "yay! We'll do everything you say!"

Jesus: "Don't kill people"
Fans: "Yay! Die for our sins!"

ZP is good for a laugh. Not so good in actually deciding if you want to buy a game. 'cause most of his "reviews" are just him being angry with something that doesn't really matter.

I think ZP should have a review of ZP. Then he could make a review of the review. Then a... *the universe is sucked into itself and it has now never existed*

@ OP: You = fanboy.

Most of us = also fanboys.

It's just a fact that I wanted to mention before this gets locked.

Huh.

It's an amusing series, but I think reviews should be considerably unbiased, even for the sake of comedy.

Yahtzee is less a critic and more a chariacture.

Love his series, find your "review" to be a fanboy wank more than anything.
Wow. It's like you're hearing my thoughts.
