'Not being able to experience great works' is surely a defining hallmark of this often idiotically myopic industry/medium. [footnote]Although one can say the other mediums are catching up fast, given the continuing fragmentation of TV streaming, film production, and so on.[/footnote] If BG&E2 really is a bizarro NX exclusive, then it'll join a sizable list of games I'll never play because I'm not prepared to blow thousands on multiple systems. The ideal is a unified medium, but I sadly don't see that occurring because it's to no-one's benefit but the punters, ergo MS, Sony, Nintendo will cling to their grabbed territory.Silvanus said:Ah. Well, if this is a rant about exclusivity in general, I'll wholeheartedly agree. It's an inward-looking, pointless little practice that serves neither the consumers nor the medium.
Whilst I'd like to play a BG&E follow-up, my sweary ire of late's been consumed by Capcom and Firaxis, so I'm all ire'd out.
