A sad day for humanity or at least the public image of these women.

This is obviously something I agree with; all I wanted to point out with the last part of my previous comment was that the right to freedom of speech isn't always equal for everyone. And well, modesty is apparently a lost virtue to nearly everyone these days.

The actions of these women is one of the reasons why, even though I'm a girl, i have a certain loathing of feminism, because in most cases it seems to only be used to exact blame on men for a majority of problems that don't even concern them. All these women are doing are appealing to Women who are in situations where they have a problem with a man and compounding it with visceral humor.
You shouldn't loathe feminism at all. In fact, no one should. Feminism is mostly the reason why womens rights have incredibly improved compared to the past. Feminism is about equality, which is something that deserves respect and the kinds of people you rightfully dislike, the people who do the things you mention (and many other stupid things I'm sure you've read about) are by no means feminists. They're just annoying idiots.

So yes, I hate the kinds of people you mentioned in the quote above just as much as you do, meaning I hate sexist, lazy, morons. I have no problem whatsoever with actual feminism which works towards equality between genders, however and I'm sure you feel the same. No point in hating something commendable because of a vocal, idiotic minority.

I'd like to point out that the Red head is Sharon Osbourne (wife of Ozzy Osbourne) and is considered to be toxic over here in the U.K, which is why i would not listen to a word she says. Serious a toxic lady and a shame to others.
Doesn't surprise me much. I hadn't looked up her name, because putting any effort into finding out more information about someone as vile as her would have felt as a waste of my time. Thanks for the information, however.

I appreciate what Feminism has done, maybe i should have put "Modern Feminism". Its the fact that i've read that loads of women have agreed with the fact that the guy "deserved it". I believe that apart from ignorance, these women talk under the pretense of a feminist view point. I'll go back to my earlier comment about the hypocrisy of the "slap to get in the kitchen".

On SKY news Andy Grey got sacked from SKY SPORTS NEWS because he suggested a women referee didn't understand the "offside rule" in Football.

These Women are laughing at the mutilation of a man. Feminism gave women the right to do a lot of things, but it is the false pretense of these women that give it a bad name.

Osbourne used to be on TV a lot in the UK until she shot her mouth of (much like she does in the video of The Talk) she's sort of blacklisted now which is probably why she's doing the show in the first place.

My god really? The story is shocking, and the fact OTHERS seemed to agree with it just makes me want to.... well not visit America.

As much as that video annoyed me, it seemed like those women were really just joking around, although at a few points it's hard to tell. Yes, there is a double standard here, because those women definitely would have thought it wasn't funny to joke around if the same thing happened to a women. It's not the joking that bothers me, I don't care what people joke about, even if it's extremely offensive. What I don't like is the double standard.

Think of great comedians like George Carlin and how many offensive, terrible things he joked about. He does the same as these women do, turn controversial subjects and events into comedy (black humor, absurdity, ect.). The difference here is that he's actually funny and intelligent.

Really? A lot of women agreed with this? Can you provide some links? I thought people in general were disgusted by the behavior of the women on screen. If not, then I can partially understand your hatred for the "modern feminism", which is basically idiocy dragging the word through the mud.

Yeah, which is why I said freedom of speech doesn't go both ways. And yeah, the word feminism and feminism itself has been thoroughly damaged these last few years. The system is flawed and sexist itself, which is the reason stuff like this still happen. When it comes to the law, women do generally have more rights than the man and I don't see it changing any time soon. We'll just have to live with ridiculously stupid stuff like this.

I'm starting to love the UK more and more because of stuff like this. Good to hear that at least the general UK population has the brains to see that the woman is a horrible and disgusting human being.

I guess I'll call it there, I feel freedom of speech should have some limits, such as incitement to violence and hatred, and you believe in it fully and completely. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just going to agree to disagree.

Really, my realistic hope is that complaints show that it's not profitable for the TV network to allow people to say things like, just as I'd expect someone who went on a genuinely racist tirade to find themselves not having a place in the show next week. In the end I think the audience will decide what's acceptable, I just hope they don't agree with her.

Feminists twats being twats. Imagine if they ever got into a position of leadership in a country...
Scarier than any scary movies. Regardless, there should be some legal action taken against the show for making light at the horrible suffering of this man.

But, guys! They're being liberated women of the 21st century! They're overcoming centuries of male oppression!

I don't really mind that they made fun of tragedy, but doing it on a public forum and being praised for it seems a little off. Just gotta wonder what would happen if a bunch of men joked about bodily mutilation of a woman.

There's no such thing. Freedom of speech is a black and white issue, you either fully endorse it or not. You can't have just a "little" freedom, it doesn't work that way.

Either way, this was a nice discussion.

I've watched the view for 5 minutes and determined that they are all selfish feminist elitists that are perfect and can do no wrong so they just bag on other men all day.

It's funny. If a man does something wrong, everyone here would jump and point out that's his individual fault, not that of all men.

If a woman does, everyone here jumps blaming it on feminism and women in general. This is saying a lot about how sexism is still around: And as usual, the scorn is reserved for bashing women wanting equality. Every excuse is immediately used to bash feminism, because insecure people just can't stand women getting equal rights - which we're still far away from.

THIS, my friends, is a double standard. Classic case.

The claim that "men saying similar would get fired instantly" is insane. Men say something similar every day, on Fox News, for example. It's called rape apologism, and is so common, most of you don't even notice it anymore. That's the fun part about the outrage in this thread.
Men make similar comments every day and nobody gives a shit except those icky feminists you hate so much.

The women here were out of line (mocking people that were brutally savaged is NEVER FUNNY, it's total douchebag behavior), but it's saying a lot that people only complain when women act like this, and think it's totally okay when men are making jokes about women being gangraped and killed.
Why do those men deserve no punishment? Why is it only bad if a man is a victim?

It should be bad in BOTH cases. Why are you hypocrits only complaining about this when it's a male victim?

Women don't have penises so they don't know what that would be like. Allow me to form an analogy of sorts to better explain it to those of the "other" gender.

It's sort of like jamming a running chainsaw up into your lady bits, as far as it'll go.

I always find it funny when people chose to defend femenism by saying something along the lines of "When women do bad things in the name of feminism they are just ignorant because all feminism does is promote equality." Feminists who are unwilling to accept that there is REAL BURNING HATRED in there movement are a serious problem and are the biggest reason I and people like me simply tune out feminist opinions.
I dont pretend for a second that the crazy women who post online that they want to seduce and murder all men over the age of 18 or that Joss Whedon supports domesetic abuse because Firefly had a mixed race couple in it are an accurate representation of modern feminism, but when you look at the mainstream government funded programs and pop-culture feminist literature and you can still see the hatred of men and lack of common sense.
Earlyer in this thread I pointed out The Vagina Monologues. In this a 13 year old girl is plied with alcohol by at 24 year old in order to entice her into sex. They go on to say this is a good thing. Feminists celebrate this literature and the government funds its performance all across The USA, Canada and the E.U.. Thats right government funded mainstream feminits celebrate the rape of a young girl at the hands of an older woman and heres the really funny part: JOURNALISTS HAVE BEEN FIRED FOR POINTING THIS OUT! Thats right, while women are allowed to casually mock a man for being the victim of brutal abuse, torture and mutilation at the hands of his wife on television, men have been punished for having the audacity to denounce the celebration of lesbian rape. This is the fallout of the Feminist movement and calling these things commendable is quite wrong.
Im aware the feminist movement gave women the right to vote and whatnot, which in fact is probably good for me as I tend to lean left and am told that women are more likely than not to support my political views but if we ignore the negative aspects we are doing a massive disservice to everyone. Imagine a justice system which decided to uniformally punish all suspects, sure we would be arresing countless innocents, but I bet we would be able to convict far more actual criminals too.

Yeah, that's really really messed up.
It's a mid morning talk show though, hardly a single educated thought to find on those. That's just disgusting though.
Of course I am speaking as a man, so the thought of something similar happening to me fills me with a sense of dread, which is affecting my ability to see this in a more balanced light.

To me it seems to be a double standard, after all abuse is funny when it's female on male, or so the saying goes.

It doesn't really matter what she cut off though, it seems to be a pretty clear case of assault, I hope she gets tossed in jail for it.

This world is messed up and people like this only add to the global crisis. How outraged would the women be if the situation was reversed? What if the woman's had been sexually mutilated? I am sure there would have been mass outrage. As far as them laughing about it on The View, I would challenge all the free thinkers out their to boycott non-sensical programs like these.

Is it just me or were the women in "The Talk" just joking? They weren't promoting what she did, I can asure you there will be males (comedians etc) that will joke about it too. The only one there sounding semi serious was Sharon Osbourne for god sake, she's always eccentric.

But yes the woman at the end pointing out the double standard knows what she's talking about.

Anyone who supports the woman who commited the crime should go get a psych test ASAP

As I think about this, I lean over as though someone was tickling my spine. This is not cool, that is despicable, if you're a woman who agrees with Ms. Kieu, imagine if you woke up and your breasts were gone, not so much that they shrunk, but there are just two giant scabs where they used to be.

It hurts to just think about this.

Most (if not all) men are punished if they say something innapropriate. Danny Dyer was fired for joking that you could always stab a woman in the face so no one else would want her, A Toronto cop was recently reprimanded for telling women "not to dress like sluts" as it often attracts unwanted attention and in my previous post I mentioned Robert Swope who was fired from his newspaper for having the audacity to suggest that the government shouldnt be funding and the university shouldnt be supporting programs that encourage lesbian rape. In all three of these cases both mysogyny and the patriarchy were blamed. I also want to point out that people are not blaming the bad actions of individuals on feminism but rather the bubble of protection these women have because of there subject matter, namely the forced imprisonment, torture andmutilation of a man.
Now, up until now I never thought there was a situation capable of making me say this but, I dont think Fox News has ever said anything as inflamatory as this, they have NEVER joked about women being gangraped and most are so fetishistically obsessed with crime and punishment that at the first sign of a change they are shouting Guilty Guilty Guilty.
y'know what? most people men and women in the real world would be up in arms screaming for blood is a woman was mutilated like this at the hands of a man and just as much blood if someone was laughing about it on national television, people like you however dont live in the real world you live in a fantasy world, case in point you ignored the hundred or so posts in which the 4 women who spat hatefull comments on the air were blamed and instead focused on the dozen or so that blamed feminism for allowing it.

Truth be told I'm a guy and I'd hate to have my tallywhacker lopped off, none the less this made me laugh and who cares what people think? I for one am glad that they broadcast women saying that more women should slash off more mens dicks, I don't agree with it but it shows that people can say what they want and not be forced to say what some higher power tells them to say.
This.

I can genuinely say... as long as I imagined it as the silicon surrogate some women are more accustomed to (some possibly there,) and how much that would bounce around the old garbage disposal, yeah, that comment was honestly funny. Laughter is the best medicine, both for individuals and society.
Speaking of... "In a landslide decision in my head, the Supreme Court upheld the prior punishment of formerly Catherine, and have agreed to keep her first name legally as Tally-Whacker."
