Harrison Ford
Liam Neeson
Sean Connery
Daniel Craig
Will Smith
Tom Hanks
Michael Caine
Christian Bale
Mel Gibson
Sam L. Jackson
Paul Newman
The Redford (although he really annoys me now)
N.P.H!

I don't get all the Edward Norton or Heath Ledger praise though.

Ledger's only good role was the Joker, everything else was teenager dreak or gay. It's sad that he died when he was coming into his own.

Mel Gibson is not always that great an actor. Most of the time yes, but not in every movie he did.

The rest I agree :)

Keeping the Faith with Norton in it was dreadful. Ben stiller managers to cancel out Norton, although the script wasn't that good to begin with.

Actors that always seem to add a certain dignity to their films despite quality for me include : Caine, Al Pacino, De Niro, Tim Robbins, Tom Cruise (for some reason) and Christian Bale.

Thank you,

I think every actor up there has done one bad movie now and then (Firewall, Wild Wild West, The Golden Compass), but Gibson's performance in Lethal Weapon, Braveheart, Mad Max, and his directing abilities I think give him a pass... but I respect your opinion!

Heath Ledger was really good in Two Hands, but got pidgeon holed into playing the same character from 10 Things I Hate About You a bit too much. Was great in Dark Knight.

Edwood Norton though I think does deserve a mention, as does Kevin Spacey. But that might be because The Usual Suspects is one of my fav films :p

She can kick your ass, go to Ivy league, and be adorable at the same time.

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt, y'know!
Yeah. I went there.
You've been to Egypt?...
Yeah I did. It was alright, there wasn't all that much to do except laugh at people getting their hair cut at the local barber. From my hotel room 200 yards away, mind you. Although I didn't get to see the pyramids which pissed me off. Oh well. You can't win them all.

I was trying to be a smartass, but since you've been that's pretty cool. Sometimes the most interesting part of travel can be the local culture more then the tourist sites.

Edward Norton, Micheal Caine, Keifer Sutherland, Bruce Willis Sean Connery and Clive Owen are all great and always put on a good show no matter the role. two that i'm surprised haven't been mentioned (in the posts that I read) are Kevin Spacey and Jason Statham (spelling?). I can't think of a movie they've been in that didn't captivate me.

EDIT: How could I forget Johnny Depp and Brad Pit, they both are amazing actors and tend to get good roles that tehy make their own. Also, Samuel L. muthafuckin' Jackson he is one of the greatest actors to ever grace cinema.
On a more asian note, Chow Yun Fat is great. And so is Jet li.

S. Johanson and K. Knightly AREN'T actresses. They're just models forced to read lines. Are you sure you're not mistaking talent for the fact that you've got something to give them both?
Watch Domino and Lost in Translation for starters.
If that doesn't convince you I'm not sure anything else will, but Scarlett has done some nice work under the guiding hand of Woody Allen.
Can't blame you though, most movies they are known for is blockbuster stuff like pirates of the caribean for Keira, and the Island for Scarlett.

If I was going to pick Jason Statham for anything, It would be for Lock, Stock and Snatch. Just my opinion.
But I would have to say Christian Bale, Micheal Caine, Morgan Freeman, Peter Sellers, Johnny Depp.
