Yeah, so did I when I was a kid. It's part of being a kid. Thinking you're more mature or smarter than you actually are until you go out and get *****-slapped by reality.

You'll figure it out after making some real mistakes, and you'll realize that no matter how smart you think you are, you're just as ill prepared as everyone else at life.

Well I did move out, I'm an adult with credit card... keys... etc. But I moved back into my parents house to finish university. I'm only 21 so I don't feel too bad yet, and it helps that I've lived on my own for some time and know I can do it when I can support myself better (not studying all the damn time).

22 in February. That's about the time I'm going back to stay with my brother to try and kick-start my second career. I guess I'm neither here nor there. If I'm being completely honest I guess I'm not that mature. Where there's a sarky/childish comment to be made for ones own amusement I'll be there. Working on it though...

I'm 16 - so I can't help; but we are a mostly mature community and I hope you reconsider feeling like a weirdo ;)

I'll be 40 in a couple of weeks.

Does that make me the oldest person here? At least, physically?

Mentally & socially, on the other hand ...

Oh! And for the record, I'm not one of those "living in my parents' basement 40-year-old virgin" stereotypes.

I'm married, have a full-time job and a mortgage, as well as two teen-agers of my own.

~Cheers!

I turned 23 last Sunday. I'm not sure if that qualifies me as a "grown-up" but I certianly think it does. Also the fact that I have a Bachelors Degree and I'll shortly be returning to work on a Masters speaks to this as well.

Who cares? Isn't it individuality that matters, not age?
Of course. That being said, being the only adult hanging out on a forum populated solely by minors could be considered a tad creepy.
That is a good point.

There's quite a few adults here, you only notice us teens more because we're unemployed and easily bored, leaving us more time to post on here.

I'm 26 and I still haven't gotten used to being addressed as Mr. - whenever somebody says that I have to check the impulse to look behind me for whoever they must be talking to, because surely it's not me.

I'll be 22 in the 27th (oh dear... that'll be in 4 days O___O).

But I live with mom and dad. Is a lot more comfortable than living alone XD But I work, pay for most of my stuff... So I'm 50/50 in the independent department *haha*

Although, I guess it's more okay for a girl to stick with her parents for longer.
