I want to say thats more a domination kinda thing, but I would have to read some and I have Gigantic to play. Yeah, nothing inherently wrong with it since its all fantasy, but if your not into it then it makes finding the kinda game you want harder.

My guess would be that this is so cause rape is one of those things you can't film in real life cause it'd be illegal so the only thing you have is fake rape porn which you know ahead of time isn't real so just like how most porn fails due to this aspect in feeling overly-fake, so does this variation of it.

And yeah of course games are fiction so it's not real either but if you take it in the context of the in-world-reality it's a whole lot more real to the characters than any pretend-rape porn one could find and if it's anything like other videogames the production values will likely be better so better writing/acting will be used so I guess the people into that would be better serviced by these games.


It also could be that just that many people are into it, you never know. It's not one of the most common things people admit being into due to the shame it carries in most first world countries to admit such a thing.

Or you know, just have the sex be part of that romance and have the couple be cutely awkward together the first time they give it a go, and then further exploring the characters and their relationship through their sexy activities.

Hmm, I think maybe we're talking about two different things, as in the sweet and romantic type I wouldn't consider "porn" but just a "sex scene", like how we have sex scenes in Hollywood films without these films becoming "porn". So, say, Saya no Uta or something, has sex scenes, is most definitely NOT a porn game, just an adult one.


Like, if you have a typical visual novel with a romance plot and whatnot, I don't think I'd call it porn just because it has a sex scene, to me porn would have to be something that uses sex as its focal point. Some rpg where all your attacks are sex acts or something like that.

I'm not even really talking about a sex scene as a reward, I just want the characters to both be into it. Sakura Dungeon actually did that really well. Didn't hurt that everyone was female and the characters were really fun.

Well, Japan is a pretty conservative society. Really I think the reason they get stuck with all the sex stuff is they are physically small. Like you can have one town that sells stuff to cater to anyone and anyone with that fetish or interest can just hope a train and get there and get what they want despite the fact they have some pretty draconian laws against a lot of sex stuff. Here in the states we are so spread out that mail order would be the only way for a lot of people to indulge in certain porn fetishes till the internet.
