If I have children I would give the same advice that my own grandmother gave me. She used to say, "Don't say or repeat curse words... they make you look like an illiterate dumbass with a potty mouth and the reason I can say them is because I'm older then you. I've earned it."

To my (potential) kids?

1. Ignore the hype.
2. Conforming is for chimps.
3. Always have an out.

When the chance is available make friends instead of enemies, always open with a non-raciest/non-sexist joke, that motorcycles are better than any other vehicle out there cuz we have a creed.

Disregard women. Acquire currency.

That way you won't be in the problems I'm in.

Don't take a day off in your R.E. exam, even though it's useless, it'll give you one extra GCSE on your record, and that could just get you into college. They don't care what GCSE's you have, just how many.

Don't be afraid of being different - but if you do, expect to be treated like crap by chavs.

This is what my Dad told me one day.
"there's a lot of fish in the sea son... and always wear a condom"

The pursuit of knowledge is the highest of ideals.

The pursuit of peace is the second. Make no mistake though, one cannot always pursue peace.

Protecting nature and those who cannot stand up for themselves is the third.

Think for yourself and see if you disagree - if you can convince yourself that I am wrong, then you have earned your opinion. But make sure you CONVINCE yourself, instead of just taking the easier road.

An excuse, no matter how good it is, is still just an excuse. If you need to make one, both you and they know you did something wrong. Try to get it right, and use excuses only if you really couldn't help it.

Death and black metal are awesome and if you ever take a rap or pop CD into this house I will dance with the line of child abuse.

Son there comes a time in every man's life where he has no idea what he's talking about. I've reached that moment.

I'd give my kids the same advice my grandpa gave me. "When it comes to life, confidence is more important than intelligence. Act right, and you are right. Always. " [sup]I even have this as my quote in my profile.[/sup]

Yeah... my gramps is insane. :]
That's sadly very true.... though I'm confident and intelligent, so everyone else can fuck off.

I'd probably tell my kid.... I don't know. There's so much advice to give, but only when the need arises. I'd probably just tell the kid my philosophies on life, only in times where they apply obviously. Will save (hopefully him) a lot of thinking and worrying in life.
