one of these:

-for us to continue through to another stage of life with altered logistics
ie earth 2
so the idea of gravity may not exist, the smallest particles might just be crumbs, magneticism may work in such a way that it makes it easy for a person to fly without spending money etc
just a new set of laws for physics
we'd all be reborn but we'd remember our previous life

-we live our entire life again, again remembering our old life so we can change it for the better

-an everlasting personal heaven

-an eternal slumber (sleep is the greatest feeling ever)

one of those would be nice

I'd prefer a form of multi-party transmigration so all of the experiences that I've accumulated don't go to waste by decay or being hoarded by a single recipient of my 'soul'.
Being reincarnated as a member of another species or as a robot sounds like fun, too. It would save time on training the animal or programming the droid if I could empty the contents of my mind into it. Of course, then my 'owner' would have a robot or dog subverting the order of their community to acquire equality or some such fol-de-rol to contend with.

Put me down for "brain replaced with synthetic components synapse by synapse." That's how I'd like to "die."

To be given a domain where I can basically be God. Like, a place where my thoughts become a reality. That would be badass.

But alas, science tells me I'm unimportant so I better go and crymyself to sleep in that corner over there...so...see ya.

But if you were the only one who was really in it, would it really be heaven?

I have to say, that'd be a very cool Stepford-Wives-meets-Twilight-Zone hell.

It's like, you think you're in heaven at first. Then you realize everything's horribly wrong. The Devil pops in, laughing, and asks if you seriously believed the sign on the door.

yeah
cause your heaven would have other people in it
only, the other people would also be in their heaven

but it doesnt have to make sense to us cause it would be heaven like

Well I don't think there is an afterlife.
What I want?
I could "die" and live through an artificial brain or something robotic and live forever. From then on my bodies could die, but my brain is data so I just get transferred to another clone/android.
OR
I would like to be reincarnated as another person with my old memories.

Make one up? Okay!

I follow the path of Me-ism. I worship myself. Now, this may sound selfish, but check this out. It's actually quite philosophical. Existentially, everything around me is an extension of myself, because I prove that I myself exist and then extend that to all other things. Regardless of whether or not you and the rest of the world hold an independent existence, you will cease to be FOR ME as soon as I die. As soon as I am dead, the entire world that exists here will cease to have any meaning for me, and so it will be as though it no longer exists.

Been thinking on that one, actually. I get bored sometimes.

I figure it will be like the PC game. The entire afterlife is a perfect square lain out in grids with an incompetent guy randomly dropping buildings around, spending too many Pennies from Heaven and eventually getting the Four Horsemen called because he went too far in the red.

I wish that everyone had to watch a film of their life, With an 1800's posh Englishmen commenting on every stupid thing they've ever done, if the number of these things exceeds 1000, then they must eat old shoes, while watching all of the smart/witty/cool people hanging out as reincarnated people on earth.

It's about what you want to happen, not what you think will happen.

I think we're gonna need a LOT of shoes then.

Scientifically all that'll happen is your body will be broken down by bacteria and that's it, no after life, just nothing.

What I would like to happen is to get a choice of what you'd like to be in your next life and give that a go 'til you die again etc. - It won't happen but its not a bad idea.

P.S. I'm agnostic, not an atheist.

yeah, not having to die would be cool I guess, but with an eternity I can only assume I would get bored of life.

I'm actually quite happy with the current system of plain old death then nothing.
