Overpowered or not?

Personally I'm starting to dislike them a lot. It feels like every second person is using them for easy, easy kills.

What are peoples' thoughts?

Yes, overpowered - two shotguns are actually overkill. But if you miss, you get another shot - and reloading is not even slower! This setup is also pretty damn ridiculous. Come on, DOUBLE-WIELDING 120-YEAR OLD SHOTGUNS? What's next, invasion of pancreas-eating alien sunflowers descending from the sky in a sofa-shaped spacecraft?!

they don't seem to overpowered to me, but I guess it doesn't make much difference to me as the game keeps matching me with Americans so i pretty much always lose at close range combat

I really think they should get rid of the akimbo option with the 1887's, though, it just makes no sense.
I mean, why have a slow reload speed if you're just going to let me dual-wield?

I like it on the pistols, though, because they're so weak.

would i say there overpowered as long as youre gun can shoot from futher away and they dont get to you first probobly not

Seems pretty fecking stupid to me, but I've not played MW2. From what people have told me, it seems fairly OP though.

yeah well they originally said Sidearms only which should have meant the pistols

but of course yet another thing theve lied about and another thing promod wouldve removed

you cannot load a p90 one handed without putting it down on sumthing and doing it while shooting another one is gonna be even harder

pistols make sense because clips are light and you can knock it in with your other arm while no such thing can be said about a p90 and the shotgun is even worse

you know its not possible otherwise it would be done on screen

the dual shotguns has made me stop playing MW2 altogether not just because everyone was using them last i was playing but the game has turned more into a gimmick game than a light hearted military game

back to Cod 4 i go(which is superior in everyway even ignoring the stupid problems with MW2)

they also said Akimbo was a Perk not just a random attachment

there overpowered in the fact there range is doubled for an instant kill since theres 2 times as much lead flying around

oh and the fact that spawn is broken doesnt help the guy you just killed spawned 20 metres behind you great if your not trying to survive someone from the front since hell marathon+lightweight to you before youve moved 10 metres

If you're going to be a search bar Nazi at least do the search yourself first in order to avoid making utterly useless contributions to threads.

How is it unrealistic? People still use Winchester Lever Action rifles.

Yes, but do people use them in MODERN WARFARE (dun dun dunn title drop) ? And can you realistically double-wield them without breaking your arms? Can you reload such things in a split-second (while double-wielding, ofc)? That is my point.

im from the netherlands, and pretty much every single game theres 2 or 3 people running around with these, the problem is the instant reload 6 times in a row, and the fact that it easily kills up to 30ft without even needing to aim properly...

i use the spas12 myself, still mostly a 1 shot kill, but only with aim and not much further then 10ft, and it has pump action so its not so semi-automatic as the 1887's.

spas 12 is the best even if 1887 is better but i think it's not... spas 12 for ever

DoubleShotgunDude is indeed a dog rapist, but since he's the only known predator for the Shield-and-Knife-Whore (I am one of the latter from time to time) I won't condem it in total.
The game could do with a patch, thats for sure.
