THAT is the problem; that 40% of the men out there suck compared to me.
With an ego like that, it astonishes me that you're still single.

Yet another Faux Nooz thread. My past attempts to get involved in these have gotten nowhere, but hey why not.

Anyways Red State founder Erick Eriksson was on board, and made an interesting retort [http://www.redstate.com/2013/05/30/the-truth-may-hurt-but-is-not-mean/] (and having all sorts of fun on twitter, though making links from mobile is difficult so find it yourself)... not about the panel being all male; even I will admit that was asinine, but the topic of debate itself.

Heres my take on things. for years women have been gold digging but know its our turn as men. Im not ashamed to admit id love a rich older woman who made all the money while i sat at home sleeping and playing video games

Its about time we had it our way
Fuck me this guy's a genius.

Time to get me a suga mamma.

Hahah
Damn straight! preferable a rich lawyer or buisness type cougar who does pilates and jogging to keep their body tight. Even better if they are rich enough to have had fake jubblies

If you disagree there is something wrong with you
I'm with you.... up until the fake jubblies.

It's all about the ass man... THE ASSSSSSSSSSS!
i agree but both is the best option fake jubblies and a nice ass your onto a winner

I don't get my news from Fox but did hear about this statistic elsewhere. I believe there was an important part in the data: the number that are single mothers. Any working single-parent is not an ideal household for raising a child.

While this is a substantial find, the changing picture of society, it's much deeper than income. For example, women are overtaking men in higher education. Just at the doctor's office today, the topic came up and an elder male doctor claimed the trend in medical schools today; they're female.

There's both interesting and alarming parts to glean, which could be saying as much about boys as it does girls. I've heard different theories and suggestions as to why, and while not speaking to this panel specifically, it's not a point to really celebrate when there are issues to consider.

"Change!? In OUR society!? NOOOOOOOOO"

Pretty much sums it up. Fox, you can say stupid stuff about playing the vidya, because you probably shouldn't know better, but are you seriously still telling women to get back in the kitchen?

EDIT: Oh, and men can raise kids, too.

Wait, left leaning journalist Juan Williams of "corporate wife" fame was on board? What did he have to say? Would rather not watch on mobile.

I really need to stop reading comments for shit like this, it always makes me want a go on homicidal rampage. Argh but this should be expected when FOX is involved.

My mother was the main income earner when I was growing up and my dad worked from home. It was never an issue to them or me or my brother. The only one who took issue with it was my grandmother because she seemed to think leaving the kids with a man would cause us to spontaneously com-bust or something. It didn't of course, men can look after kids too.
Now single parents and having both parent working long hours is an issue but it being the woman that is working is not.

And the whole "Look at the animal kingdom! It's nature!!" thing that always seem to come up in this discussion is such bullshit. Males are dominant and do the breadwinning while females look after the kids is not actually how most animals operate, it's not even how most mammals operate, it isn't the same for all species so you can't point at an example of that and go "oh well that must be how it's meant to be for humans too" and modern society removes most of the reasons for this set up anyway.

Hey at least they're not talking about reproductive rights.
There's nothing that says Faux News better than five old men telling me that birth control shouldn't be covered by health care, but Viagra is 100% a must.
I have half a mind to send them the links on how they have now successfully fertilized an egg using only female cells making men no longer necessary for sperm.

http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/sciencetech/men-no-longer-necessary-for-sperm-production/750

If their reaction to women working is that bad, can you you imagine their reaction to reading that?! HAHAHAHAHA!
I feel so biologically redundant now. Is this what it's like to be a Krogan? You know, minus the whole species going extinct part.
I doubt this will invalidate men. for one itd probably be either super expensive or super flawed. and even if it were perfect and the price of a happy meal? theres sex.

oh wait there are fucking machines nevermind. well thats just more time spent playing VIDAEO JAM3Z!!!!

These guys are idiots (obviously). Who cares? Really? Why should anyone care, other than the fact it doesn't fit into the old '50s way of seeing things.
In of themselves, those people aren't anything to be concerned about, but they have hordes of like-minded people listening to what they say. Those are a worry.

...

Exasperating/amusing (more the first) to see people slowly realise that sexism actually does exist.

Cap:nice job
You are absolutely correct. I in no way meant to downsize the obvious and dangerous population that does agree with these dolts.

How the fuck does that pass as resonable journalism. I have honestly never seen such a heap of backwards ignorant crap in my life. I am so glad I never have to encounter scum like this in real life

What's the big deal, guys? This is a major issue as proven with SCIENCE! What will we do when children grow up thinking women can live their lives without a real MAN? WILL SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN! (Sarcasm, i realize if I don't put that i would sound exactly like them. They could easily backpedal this by saying it was a joke and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.)

Please tell me that I slipped into a coma without realising it and this is actually April 1st? That is literally the only thing that could restore my faith in common sense right now.

So this whole thing is apparently startin somethin at Fox News. Normally when a pundit says somethin insane, most reporters/anchors/hosts just either nod their head or pretend it wasn't as insane as any rational people think it was.

Fox news' own Megyn Kelly actually questioned this entire thing, on live television, and persisted with it for an entire segment.

At first the way she's smilin and even kinda laughs makes you think that she's just goin to do the nod her head and agree garbage. Then BAM, all out assault.

She seems quite legitimately pissed that one of her colleagues actually believes the crap he's spewin.

Full thing here.

Some terrifyin things that happened. She actually brings out facts. Real honest facts. She brings up the fact that homosexual couples fair no worse than hetero families when it comes to family raising. Its...I dont even know. If this is some sort of ruse, its probably the most convincin ruse ever.

Oh gods. Did you guys read the comments on that second link? My mind... is full... of urges

Yeah that's exactly why I didn't look at any of the comments on any of the links.

Regardless, this is one of the most sickening things I've read since I learned that people were hiring handicapped tour guides to skip Disney lines. Which I read this morning. So it's been a pretty sickening day, all in all. Thanks Fox News.

before the 24 hour news cycle, you'd get Walter Cronkite on CBS at 7pm leading off with a story like "Today, the Department of Homeland Security announced a bulk purchase of ammunition that's expected to save x amount of dollars over the next ten years." today, you have someone like Megan Kelly going into commercial break with "Is the Obama administration creating an artificial bullet shortage, we'll have so-and-so from the NRA to talk about it after the break." same story, different approach, one fact based, the other paranoid dog-whistling
