Women and Men are supposed to compliment each other hence why each gender has their own skill sets and what they are good at.
Except... you know, they don't.
Genders don't have a skill set.
People do. Complimentary skill sets do not necessarily imply Man/Woman mixes. In fact, (if we take stereotypes to be true) it'd be a lot easier for me to find a man that compliments my skill set than a woman, as my skills are those more typically associated with women.
Thankfully, my wife has a lot of the more "Masculine" traits.
For example:
I can cook large, multi-course meals. My wife, when I'm not home, subsists primarily on canned food.
My wife is a very decisive, organized person who likes being in charge. I'm perfectly content to let her make most of the day to day decisions.
My wife is better educated and gets paid more (she's got a doctorate, I have a bachelors).
My wife is generally uncomfortable around kids. I love kids.
My wife likes to keep things organized, but I do most of the actual cleaning.
My wife handles the finances, and even keeps a budget spreadsheet. When we first started sharing bills, we each took half to be responsible for, but she almost immediately started taking over mine anyway, so I just let her do her thing.
I'd rather stay home and watch a movie. My wife would rather go hiking/camping/fishing/etc.
In short, don't assume the "Typical Gender Skills" are actually typical. Most cases it's simply the case that society has told people these are the things their gender is supposed to be good at, so those are the ones they worked at.
