What do you think of her opinion? Do you agree with it? Are you insulted by it or are you a living example of it?
My initial reaction is she may not be aware that she is the biggest loser in her sexual world - folks getting long term benefits but not her. However she may feel being single is the way forward. Still, she has a very negative view of the male species, which is likely to attract similar negative feelings. Finally, it could well be a cop-out or a call for help because she feels she is incapable of finding happiness with one person.

Ultimately (and finally), all my suggestions are wrong and it is another problem or it is not a problem at all and she is the happiest person you know.

I completely agree with you from the contractual standpoint. I'm not promoting cheating when you've professed commitment. I'm just stating that there is nothing wrong with playing the field.
But that's just it. Cheating and Playing the field shouldn't have to be related. You can play the field without being unfaithful.

It's called casual sex. I don't even get the practice because it implies no emotional connection whatsoever which I'm not sure I could ever manage. But I understand how it works. You find a single, available person, sleep with them. Say your goodbyes. And move on to your next single, available person.

Or if one night stands don't work. Have a sex buddy or friend with benefits. Both of those are sorta like relationships without a lick of commitment. And no one gets hurt if they know what they're doing. Or move up and do the open relationship thing.

Really, it shouldn't be that difficult. In fact, it sounds like the most simple thing to do ever.

Her opinion is objectifying and I am extremely offended by it.

I am ambivalent to her sexual preferences, but saying shit like that makes her a bad person in my book.

Been married for 1 year, and we've been together for 4. Have never had the urge to cheat on her. Once, another girl came on to me at a party though, and I used to have a crush on her. She came over and sat down in my lap and then tried to kiss me. I stopped her, and I'm proud of it.

One person asked "what if you where given permission?"

My answer to that is "I don't know". Sure, there are other attractive women out there, than I would pursue if I was single. But somehow, I would feel it was kind of wrong even if I had permission. When my ex broke up with me, I fooled around with some girl at a bar, and even that felt wrong (and my ex ironically cheated on me, and I knew. She ran of with the guy even, that's why we broke up)

We have even talked about threesomes, and I do find the thought trilling, yet I don't know if I could actually go through with it, even though my wife said it was ok. (Now you all might think I'm crazy).

But as someone has stated, if you are in a relationship and feel the urge to cheat, chances are high that your relationship is not that healthy. I have no need to cheat, since I have an amazing wife!

No, not all men cheat, and the ones who might cheat sorta make themselves obvious through their actions. If your man thinks cheaters and guys who get laid all the time are awesome, then he's more likely to cheat. If all of your man's favorite songs are about how much tail he gets and how he's got a ton of hos, it's more likely that if given the chance he'll stray.

Also, interesting and intelligent people are slightly more likely to cheat out of boredom.

Women, on the other hand, they just cheat whenever they're ready for a new relationship but don't want to be alone. If you're dating a girl who says she's never been single you've got a higher chance of her cheating on you when she decides it's over.

As a guy who has been cheated on, I find this girl pretty disgusting.

I hope someday she finds a nice guy that she can settle down with and live with, and that they have kids and a bright future. Then I hope he goes and screws some other, younger girl.

I've been married for about half a decade now, and have never cheated. Before I was with my wife, I was in metal band that was starting to get pretty big, and I had lots of chances to be with a lot of different girls, and I never cheated on my girlfriend at the time either. Some of these girls were down right gorgeous, yet I never felt the need to do it. I have never had sex with anyone I wasn't in a committed relationship with, either.

I think your friend is just a slut that likes the idea she is screwing more than just the person she is sleeping with, and she is just making excuses.

Tell your friend she's a sexist pig.
Should get you a funny reaction, and it's true.

Does it count if I cheated in high school (almost ten years ago, mind you) when I was a completely different person?
OK, I know it counts. I just feel disconnected from it now.

I have both cheated and been cheated on. I cheated in high school with a wonderful gal I met while my relationship with my girlfriend at the time was sort of dying. Though my girlfriend actually forgave me (she shouldn't have) and we kept it going for another month...maybe a bit longer. But it still felt like a dead relationship for that month.

I was cheated on the summer before my junior year of college. My girlfriend at the time turned out to have this whole hidden life, which really weirded me out more than the cheating. "This person is not at all who I thought she was" can be sort of a mind-blowing revelation. But yeah, she was cheating. AND she had two other dudes who thought they had a chance of dating her. I think one actually did end up with her, convinced he could "fix" her. The other guy thought she and I had broken up and was actually a friend of mine (not too close a friend, since he obviously would have known otherwise). He and I went out for drinks and shared stories afterwards, which was immensely entertaining and weird at the same time. That gal turned out to be quite crazy, really.

So I guess if I take my experience and go by the OP's friend's logic, all men AND women cheat.

But that's not true. I wouldn't cheat now, and have refused to sleep with girls even when I was just talking to another girl (not even dating, but just...exploring the idea of dating). I did it in high school, but I was a douchebag in worse ways than that in high school. It's drama, and I hate drama. And if I'm not happy with who I'm dating, then I'll just end it now. Breaking up can be easy and amicable, I've learned. My last girlfriend and I continued to be drinking and concert buddies long after we broke up, until she moved back to her home state.

The assertion that "all men cheat" is equivalent to the assertion that "all black men steal televisions" or that "all women hate men," despite how much the final assertion is actually true.

I'm a guy, and I would never even fucking think of cheating on my girlfriend, whom I love dearly. No matter how hot the person might be, I don't like nor want to do it with someone I have absolutely no emotional bond with.

Sex, to me, is an intimate experience. Doing it with anyone else other than the person I love simply turns me off immensely.

That chick is retarded.

Hi.

I'm Daystar Clarion.

You may know me from such social statuses as 'I've been with the same girl since I was 15', and 'Love is playing Borderlands coop with your significant other, then having sex with her'.

And I didn't cheat in any of them :D

-Sorry, the .gif goes :p-
You know that you inspired me the first time I read that (about a year ago at least O.O)...
I have been going out with my gf for 2 years now and I would be really happy if someday when I was way out of matric I could say that, it is one of my biggest hopes for the future :D

So there, you are inspirational :p

OT: Da-actual-fuck. She says that to try and justify the fact that she is just a terrible person and she should feel terrible.

Saying "All Men Cheat" is like saying all women make sandwiches. Its a broad generalization that only narrow minded, ignorant people subscribe to.
I'm pretty sure that almost every woman has made, or will make a sandwich at least once in their life! This generalization is quite accurate!
