You only notice it when something strange happens. Compare how often it hasnt happened with how often it has and you'll realize that it's chance.

No. There's no such thing as psychics and that happens to me all the time.

Fuck, it even happened today.

I was thinking of that Scrubs episode when JD gets the man cards and someone posted the very clip in a thread here.
Agreed - Its basically a complicated use of logic to determine events which have yet to occur.

You are not psychic OP.

My friend's sister disputed his claim that I "know everything", so she held up 3 fingers behind me and asked how many. I guessed correctly. She tried again, I guessed 0 fingers. Right again.

No, the ability to guess what episode of a TV show will play that night doesn't mean you're psychic. It means you got lucky, and that you fail to remember the many times you guessed wrong. It may also mean that you subconsciously learned the schedule to the show, and that knowledge entered your conscious mind for a moment.

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

It happens to everyone. This is coming from someone who has studied the subject.

This has happened to me a lot too. I 'predicted' the big earthquake in Baja a few weeks ago.

You remind me of a friend who went off her meds and was convinced she was psychic. She told her doctor "I want to stop taking my meds because they stop my psychic powers". Her doctor said " Uh, I think you should keep taking them." she replied "See, I knew you were going to say that." She is doing much better now and no longer needs anti-psychotics.

I tend to be skeptical and disregard any claim related to the word and any other associative word for "psychic".
But maybe this goes back to when I was younger, about 6 or 7. I found an old, and I mean OLD cemetery. Most of the tombstones and markers were fairly eroded. And far away from the organized group was one lone grave. It was completely covered in moss. When I removed the moss and went to touch it, all other sight and my surroundings disappeared. I eventually saw a black silhouette of a man for a brief moment, then everything that was "real" reconstructed around me. Needless to say, at that age, I shit bricks.

You're amazing!
How can you know that? You must have looked into the future to a time where science has actually disproved psychics. But then... wouldn't that make you a psychic? Maybe you're a time traveler.

Either that or you're arrogant enough to claim as fact something that is actually opinion or belief.

On topic though, no, you're not psychic, not unless I am too. I'd like to think that if psychics do exist, they'd be able to use their gift to see a future beyond what that wacky Simpson family will get up to next.

This.

It seems like a strange happening because you think of it, then it comes on.
How often do you think of random episodes of x show, then they don't come on?

It's the same phenomenon when people play games of chance and feel horribly unlucky because they "never win", when in reality, they just pay attention to each loss more than each victory, or vice versa.

You're not psychic man, if you think of the volume of things you think about, think of how many of them are related to things that entertain you, then realize you're basically playing the odds without realizing it.

Happens to (most) everyone.

Ok bear with me here and read the entire post before yelling at me. Today at school I was just standing still then all of a sudden I pictured Marge Simpson entering the independent movie theater to see "Candy Land", and then later today that same episode came on.

This isn't the first time this has happened either. I can remember random scenes from animated shows entering my mind and then later the same episode I was thinking of for no reason, comes on. Does this happen to anyone else? Its kinda freaky. And for some reason it only works for animated shows and nothing beyond that. And I can't predict the show if I start trying to predict it, the scenes enter my head for no particular reason when I'm not thinking about it. This has happened to me way to many times to be a coincidence.
I have that exact same thing that happens to me, except it works for more than just animated shows for me. When it happens I just think of an episode of a show as a passing thought, I pay it no attention, and then it comes on.

We are clearly a superior race of humans, we must ban together and use our skills against those who hate and fear us.

I take that with the saying "Nothing is true, everything is permitted" So we may never know.
