I could give a whole thing about what I thought was wrong and how it just didn't come together, but it would be very generic.

BOTTOM LINE: I didn't think it was a good game.
You now have two choices:
Agree-Say what you didn't like about it or why it didn't DO IT for you.
Disagree-Prove me wrong.

I've played through its(LONG) entirety albeit not every class or race.

ITT: Opinions!

Why the hell should I prove you wrong? You're entitled to your opinion. You don't like the game? It doesn't stand up to the personal taste you've developed. What, would you like a cookie?

And no, you are never the only one. Why must everyone start so many threads like this? It's pissing me off...

No, I didn't like it primarily because of generic everything was. Also it felt heavily railroaded and it padded everything out to an ridiculous degree.

I don't think I could prove you wrong, if you don't like it, you don't like it. I personally thought it was a great game, a well developed fantasy universe that takes all the established tropes and cliches that we've come to expect from the genre and it still manages to have its own take on things. Bioware don't half ass when it comes to making new and interesting, if familiar feeling, worlds.

But, to each his own.

Side Note: It was the thing to make me realize I have a thing for female elves, not sure why.

NO there are plenty of other people who didn't like it.

I love it though, why, because I do.

You are not the only one, you are never the only one. In fact, I thought it was common knowledge that Dragon Age was a hit or miss game, meaning it has a lot of people who hate it as well as like it.

I've never played it.

do you normally like fantasy RPGs?
regardless, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and i guarantee you that you're not the ONLY one who didn't like that game. no one ever is.

Completely off topic i once had someone say to me that i didn't have a right to criticize a certain game (the title escapes me) because it had gotten a 9.9/10 according to Game Informer.... Yeah, i do have a right to criticize it you mindless fuck. (for the record not directed at anyone on this forum)

I can't stand it, it really doesn't hold my attention which is a shame as I'm usually a sucker for this kind of thing but Dragon Age just sorta flopped.

Dull & boring setting.
Bog standard story.
uninteresting characters.
Terrible class balance issues.

It's all a bit meh.

YES. YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE.

Dragon Age is freaking awesome. I get tired of all the generic bullshit people talk about when they trash this game. So what if it was? Is there anything wrong with that? Does EVERY game have to have original ideas?

Are you the only one that's annoyed by this?

Am I the only one thinking of the number 3124.889 and the word "teacup", while absently playing with a chip clip right now?
(Actually, probably not.)

No, you are not the only one.

Boring story without any interesting plot twist
Generic world
Combat so easy I could yawn the Archdemon to death
No likable characters except Morrigan, Zevran, and (sometimes) Alistair.

DA: O and FF XIII so far are the only games that made me regret paying full price for them.

I don't really think I can prove you wrong. You did not like Dragon Age and that is cool. In my opinion Dragon Age was a good game and in your opinion it was not a good game.

I am pretty sure there are other people in the world who also disliked Dragon Age too.

I wasn't that interested in it.

Like most people said. Boring story, no likable characters (Morrigan aside.) and I just couldn't get into the battle system at all.

I'm also not a fan of the long conversations you have with EVERY char in WRPGs. Especially when you just end up pressing X through them since they're mostly pointless.

Personally I think 90% of the people who like it only do so because it was made by the same ones who did Mass Effect.

Congratulations! You have an opinion! This is a big day for you on your road to adulthood and you should be happy about it! Now go forth into the world and form even more opinions...

Sarcasm aside, there are people who didn't like it. They are, however, a minority. Just as I am a minority in not liking Oblivion (which is by far more generic and bland than DA:O). You are never the only one in such matters.

That being said, I loved DA:O. Solid, challenging gameplay, interesting characters, good writing and a fun, dark spin on the classical fantasy setting. True, the game did play a bit "safe" with the setting, but there was plenty in there to like (enslaved elves, treatcherous dwarves, your homeland being threatened by the French, etc.).

Why would you be the only one to think something?

I nothing'd it. It was just so bland and boring to me. Its really put me off fantasy RPG games. Good thing I found Mass Effect.
