Not video game related but around Christmas I found and unmarked collectors edition of There Will Be Blood in the five dollar bin at Walmart and the clerk called the manager over, the manager told him it was up to him so he gave it to me for five.

REZ, the motherfucking ORIGINAL DREAMCAST VERSION that usually sells for over $500 on ebay, in a bargain bin, for 5 bucks.

i didn't have any money on me at the time, and my mother would not give me the 5 bucks to get said game.

needless to say i drove back the next day and it was gone...
i was crushed.

and the EXACT same thing happened to me with another rare game, ICO.

Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner new for $7.95 (These are all in Aussie dollars BTW)
Shenmue in mint condition with the cardboard overcase for $10
Chrono Trigger boxed with manual for $2 at a garage sale
Skies Of Arcadia in mint condition for $5
A Dreamcast boxed and never opened with House Of The Dead II with light gun boxed and never opened for $40

Heaps more. I used to go on scavenger hunts through every second hand store and gaming store and department store when I had my old job/girlfriend.

I ended up getting New Super Mario Bros Wii for $25

It's not bargain bin (although for any true Nintendo game I suppose that is), but I'm really happy. It's a long story how I ended up spending such a small amount for a new copy :)...

Well something that happened to me today gave me the idea for this thread, plus its not really a topic I've seen about a lot lately. Anyway. I went down to my local GAME store to purchase a World of Warcraft 2 month time card and while on my way to the PC section, something in the bargain bin caught my eye. Something I would never ever ever expect to see in a bargain bin.

Knights of the Old Republic.

So I picked it up, walked up to the counter and asked how much since it wasn't priced like most others in the bin. And the reply from the bloke behind the counter was "A pound". My head almost exploded from the sudden onset of joy. After I stupidly sold my original copy, I'd found it again for one of the Queen's British pounds. I have never moved fast enough. Coincidentally forgetting the thing I went in there for the first place. But anyway.

What amazing finds have you found in a bargain bin I wonder?
i am truly jealous. i would have probably peed a little bit out of pure excitement to pay and get the fuck out of there to play

OT: mine was finding ff7 before it was out on psn (months before) in perfect condition at my local game store, the case and manual and every disc had zero scratches on it, got it for 11 bucks, i literally had a few tears of excitement and joy when i was handing the money over for it
I nearly had an orgasm to be honest. And I hauled arse out of there. Forgetting my WoW timecard in the process.
i know what you mean, that feeling is amazingggg, there have been a few times when i get a game for a steal and i feel like gravity is pushing me to my car and back home as fast as humanly possible, and i completely forgot about buying my brothers birthday present once when i had a good steal, i saw it immediately walking in the door so i lost all other train of thought

AND YOU'RE JEALOUS!?

That's like saying "I am jealous you found $20" when you just won the lottery
haha oh believe me, i did not tell a lie over those tears, i literally had a few tears going down when i purchased it and the guy behind the counter didn't even act like i was a weirdo about it either, i glided out of that store my feet were moving so fast to get home

I forget the prices but I got Killer 7 and Second Sight for pretty good prices.

Got the Orange Box at a pawn shop for about $7ish
(and a VCR for $15)

And yet I cannot find any copies of Mario Galaxy for under $40

Does Kotor and Kotor 2 work on vista 64 bit? I'd defiantly pick these games up, but I hear they are incompatible on anything past windows Xp.
