Sure, there is a new one, but it's 50 bucks. If that floats your boat, might as well buy the new one and get the old one free. However, from what im hearing, the new one isn't all that well liked. The old one was genius, well worth the money...of course the grahics are quite outdated, and your mileage may vary regarding your ability to appreciate a good art style without a lot of power. Which is fine, btw. War and Peace may be a great book, but if your copy is written in crayon, you might not be able to get past that, even if idealistically it should be only the words that matter. Basically, if you are frugal and put some stock in reviews, and you also are in the mood for a high aesthetic/low graphics game, grab it. If you're willing to take a chance or very interested and have some extra cash, get the new one. There's an obvious 3rd choice, but I just can't say it, because I loved the original too much.
