Ireland, I'm going there now even though I reckon America's still got a decade or two of habitability left in it.

Scotland or Japan.

Scotland because I rather enjoy the place, despite (read: because of) the people. That and bagpipes are awesome.

Japan because I know some friends over there, and I feel like it'd be fun to be culture shocked to no end.

My third option would be somewhere that lets me shoot things. Unfortunately for me, I enjoy guns more than I should, and the first two don't give me much options on that front. I'll figure it out though.

I might go to Canada because I live in Washington State, it's just a short trip across the border and the language and culture are similar. My next choices would be Japan or the UK.

I'd go to Iceland cause I know people there, or the U.K. because over time they've come to be a lot like the U.S. (despite how much they deny it)

Australia.

'Cause after the ire and hate a conservative like myself picks up from liberals in America, all of Australia's indigenous wildlife combined will seem like a feather-pillow-lined basket full of the world's fuzziest kittens.

Also, by this time I assume Australia will have sensible game prices and ratings systems.

The hypothetical reason you have to leave is unimportant for the purposes of this thread, so let's not go off on a tangent speculating about felonies and which countries don't extradite.

I'd probably go to Costa Rica. There is a relatively large American expat community there, the climate is great, the cost of living is low compared to the US, I think Hispanic girls are hot, Costa Rica doesn't have a military so there's no risk of a bloody coup, and I already know enough Spanish to get by okay the first few months before I pick up more of the language.
England, hands down.

England. Not sure which part specifically, but I'd love to have the experience of living there.

Canada, It's pretty much the US but with better healthcare. But it does lack a verity of food that we enjoy down here...

Australia, it's relatively nice, ignoring the huge gap between game release dates and the censorship.
But hey, I like me some vegemite.

This is oddly biased towards Americans. What about the non-American Escapees?

I'd probably go to Japan, got some family there and some friends from a while back that might still remember me. If not, I'd go to Canada as I also have family there and they have "gonnegtions." (just re-read the Great Gatsby)

Well, first choice was Canada. Then their government collapsed(or thats what the news says. Probably just overblowing it like they do with everything, but still, their government isn't exactly at its best right now). Seems the government's just "on break". We'll see how it is when it comes back.

England was another choice, but again, government isn't that great. Wouldn't say bad, but its a conservative government right now, which is something I'd rather not live in.

Ireland - Again, government's in the crapper.

Australia - The continent has giant fucking spiders. Along with wildlife that is bred to kill everything in the scariest ways possible. And did I mention the giant fucking spiders? Yeah, no.

New Zealand - Don't really know much about the place to be honest. Seems nice I guess. Guess it wins by default?

Anywhere else I'd have to learn a new language, which would be a pain in the ass. But if I had to choose from a nation that doesn't use English as the primary language, I guess I'd go with Japan. Yes it has Earthquakes and Tsunami's to deal with, but they're the most re-enforced against those things. So I wouldn't mind so much.
Nah, just an election tussle, nothing to be worried about.

If I had to leave my country (Canada) I'd either go to the UK, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, or the US.

Iceland or denmark, Iceland cause they have awesome people and a great culture. Denmark because I already talk like I have a potato in my mouth. But seriously both places dont seem to have the hate for all americans as say the english.

Costa Rica. I already have family there and from what I've studied of the place. It's freaking beautiful. And it would finally force me to learn Spanish.

Barring that. There's always Canada...or Britain.

The wonderful world of Japan is also on my list, but only once I learn Japanese.
