so now instead of me paying $50 and getting 100 cartridges including the cost of powder, primers, and the bullet I would be forced to go spend $100 and get 50 cartridges. that's not the exact price but its to show what might happen to the system if they did take away the ability to make your own ammunition.
I also think its fair to assume that you put enough people in power, who believe the exact same thing (in this case guns are evil) its only a matter of time before they make a move towards it. Pelosi, Reid, and Obama are all gun banning extremists its just that there trying to take over the health care system right now so while there distracted everyone is cleaning house.
For the record, if I ever do buy prepackaged ammunition I don't go to wall mart anyway. They don't have the kind I'm looking for. usually ghetto ass hats are only buying 9mm so wall mart will stock 80% of its ammo shelves with 9mm.
I'm usually trying to find .308's, .300 magnums, 5.56's. Now that the military is eying up the 6.8 cal I bet those will become popular the same way the 5.56 or the .223 did. Its nice for hunting because of the way it cavitates the target.

what surprised me was that they sold 7 billion rounds a year. that's enough bullets to kill everybody on the planet. and now nine billion? that'll make sure you don't miss.

For now the gun salesmen seem silent about their opinion on this. But once the rush ends and the money stops rolling in they are gonna start complaining. Quite frankly I am starting to like Obama more and more with these new legislations.
There's this thing called the 2nd Amendment in the US. The problem is, when it was written, guns could shoot maybe twice a minute at most (more, maybe, I wouldn't know). Now, guns can unload enough the bring down an elephant in that time. Some weapons need to be banned, but its ok for people to have smaller weapons.

Wow. Good thing all my guns are laser based. Seriously the fuck America, the fuck!? While guns are cool I'm glad I live in the UK where you can't buy Ammo and Handguns with your pints of milk and Oreos.
For my uses it takes me 3 rounds to sight in and on average 4 rounds a season. e.x Deer season 3 rounds for my rifle + 3 rounds for my shotgun (Rifle and shotgun have different seasons) + 3 rounds for Muzzle loading. Then add 12 rounds (I'm being generous)for the shots I take during the entire hunting season (Muzzle loading -->Shotgun --> Rifle) That means just for deer season alone I expend 21 rounds. Remember I also sight in my Turkey shotgun and my Pheasant gun and for those seasons I probably burn up 8 rounds each because birds are hard to hit when your in the woods with a long barreled shotgun. Then I shoot in competitions and that is 125 rounds a tournament(minimum).Captain Pancake said:

Meaning that every year I shoot enough that I need to put 4000 fresh casings and shells into my personal circulation. Lets say in a slow year for .22 shooting I burn up 10,000 rounds (again competition and small game hunting) I still need to buy a lot of ammunition.
