It's even funnier when I don't study, and still do better than people who study for hours.

Don't be so naive. Businesses in Britain tend to work like this: the people with talent work hard on the frontline while the management is made up of people with little discernable skill, business nous or humanity.Danish rage said:Nothing´s wrong with beeing smart. Well that sucks, being unimployed that is. Sorry about that.Uberpig said:Don't be so naive. Then the latter group decides the best way to reduce costs is to get rid of the former group instead of cutting their own ridiculously huge f***ing salary.
And then they wonder why the quality of their product has reduced. Their profits start to fall, so they decide they need to cut costs again and the whole vicious cycle continues.
And yes, I have been made redundant recently and I'm bitter. I was caught out the second time they decided to "cut costs", just one year after my company centralised everything to create a "centre of excellence".
My point, basically, is that being smart doesn't pay unless you can second guess what the retards in charge are going to do next.
PS: You misspelt "being".![]()
Ah, I'll be alright. It's just my last day of work today and I have a raging hangover from a leaving do last night.Danish rage said:Well, i get you´re point, it just so....bleak.
You must forgive my english spelling. Im from that leprecon shaped island called Denmark, you know, those "Allmost Nazies".Cheer up.
Never ever show your grade to other people. Never look surprised when reading it. Just stash it away and pretend you can't remember what your score is. Having 100% on Physics papers, Maths tests, English Essays, etc was the reason I had very few friends in High School. Dumb people have their uses later in life. Remain friends. Why do I care said:So I had a major test last week and got the results tuesday. This was a BIG unit test for U.S. History and this was a good chunk of my grade. Turns out that I aced it 100%. When my neighbor sees my grade, she says, "What is wrong with you?" I respond, "What?" I look over at her test, 63%. And at my school, there is no D, So thats an F.
After that, I get an hours worth of rant about "Nerds have no life, they just study all night" yada yada yada. I question her if being smart is bad. I get the STFU face.
I get annoyed when this kind of phrase "Being smart is dumb" pops up. It's just stupid.
Have you ever have had or seen this kind of issue?
Ignore the ignorant for they know what they say nor the meaning of their words. From one history nerd to another, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being smart. Ohhh US History. I always wanted to that in school! Why do I care said:So I had a major test last week and got the results tuesday. This was a BIG unit test for U.S. History and this was a good chunk of my grade.
