By the way, since we somewhat widened the range of anger victims, I have to give special credit to the old roller ball mouses of PC's yesteryear. How many of those have you NOT broken when the cursor just wouldn't move in that FPS, because there was dust around the ball?

I've got at least 3 down like that. And a first-generation laser mouse.
I feel ya, destroyed three mouses, two keyboards and a monitor myself.. lol

Oh, and on a second play through of Need for Speed Underground, after being cheated by the game for the literally 950th time it got taken to the bin, and snapped in to a glorious shower of foil and plastic shards.

No matter how far in front, they will always be on you on the last lap start, and cars thrown out to deliberately crash (or spawn right in front). In the drag races the cars are designed to hit you, no matter what.

The day i got broadband was the day i took my old Creative external modem outside, and beat it to death with a sledgehammer. I hated that thing so much.
yeah.. i really hate it when car games have that "catch up" thing, no matter how good ya drive they are always on your tail. And usually, just seconds before finish line, ya crash and everyone passes ya.. Happens to me constantly on motorstorm 2.. annoying as shit..

So far out of all the replies, the top three players who most needs anger managment is:

1) Hunde Des Krieg: With 8 broken game accessories
2) megapenguinx: With 5 broken controllers
3) Corpse XxX: 3 broken ps3 controllers <-- thats me :p

Can anyone take pole position in this "short temper" contest? or will Hunde Des Krieg: win with his 8 pieces of mayhem?

I accidentally stepped on my PS3 controller, causing the left shoulder button to get stuck in a pressed position.
This makes me run automatically in Dead Space without having to press the button.
Thus, it became my Dead Space controller.
Lol.. than that problem kinda fixed itself didnt it.

Welcome to the escapist. I put a dent in my wall with a gamecube controller once.
My gamecube has a dent in it because I threw the controller at it

Ok, well I have more than 8 then, over the course of the last 23 years I have been gaming.
Super Thunder Blade for the Sega Genesis is really the one that got it the hardest.
I axed it on my fireplace.
Mostly because if 1 pixel of your chopper would touch anything, you went down in flames,. and there was this level where you had to go through tiny holes in cliffs. There were 20 such holes, and passing through any was about as hard as landing on the ship in Top Gun NES.
yeah.. i have destroyed more than 5 controllers also, mentioning easely 2 mouses, two keyboards and a monitor, but i dont feel like winning this contest though.. lol..
Theres gotta be someone with a bigger temper than me :p

Does throwing a Playstation 1 console into a broken hell count?
Yes that most definitly counts.. but a little bit interested in knowing why ya chucked the console instead of a controller.. lol.. consoles a bit to expensive to throw around everytime ya get angry.. hehe

I'm not rich enough to own a PS3, but I've damaged 2 PS2 controllers and repaired one of them (by repair, I mean remove the loose piece of plastic inside), damaged an XBrick controller, nackered the A button on a third party controller for the XBox, and wrecked a DS stylus. Fighting games' AI is a cheating bastard.

I have thrown a ps2 controller at my wall once and the R1 button fell off never to be recovered again. Other than that I have never been so angry at a game that it made me throw things around.

Dented the dashboard button on my 360 pad after losing a match on Pro Evo. Still worked though, but it shamed me everytime I picked it up.

And I'm a little bummed about that, in retrospect. I got pissed about a game called Nano Warriors had stopped working, so I neatly began to take out the disc, then un-plug it, and then just hammered it into the floor. Mind you, I were 8 years old there.

Seems to me that the xbox controllers can handle far less punishment than ps controllers can..

I just take my frustration out on a game by....turning it off and not playing it anymore, and I have to say if my kid did something like that, he/she wouldn't see thier beloved game system for at least a month, and I wouldn't be replacing the controller without a massive amount of physical labor performed on thier part.

Funny that's exactly how my father would have handled it minus a severe beating maybe I should throw that in there?
