This made me chuckle. It's pretty freaking brilliant xD

Fun Fact: They've actually made so much extra money from this drive they're thinking of either commissioning a cake featureing the likeness of the movement's mascot "Marauder Shields" from the same bakery, or just dumping the rest into another "RTME3" themed charity.
*crosses fingers* come on cake of Marauder Shields...

This is pretty nice, actually. It's a civil way to protest a small facet of a game they found perturbing. I like it.

I am conflicted. This was a truly clever (and delicious) response to an overwhelmingly sensitive topic. On the other hand, I hear rumors of changing the ending, and I get nervous. I don't want to staunch the creativity of Bioware by forcing them to conform to an ending they didn't originally concieve. After all, they created Mass Effect in the first place. This by itself is a good thing, and I had no input on that.

At best, give the fans an epilogue on the supporting characters, and at worse, just keep things as is.

Then you'll be shocked to know that the current ending to ME3 wasn't the original intention either, thay had a quite a bit more complicated ending planned involving dark matter but they had to switch to a deus ex machina late in pre-production to save time thanks to their strict EA deadline.

In fact they had to cut quite a bit out of even the current ending before they released the game, several lines of dialogue where found in the game files that arn't used because they didn't have the time to render the scenes.

So it's not nearly as clear-cut as some people want you to believe.

I had an evil thought of a veiled threat given the contents of the MLPFIM short story called "cupcakes" (seriously... it's pretty demented...), but I'm sure there couldn't be any connection. >:)

Ok, that's legitimately clever. I have to actually applaud that.
My thought process, in chronological order.

P.s. Isn't it terrible when you go into a thread only to realize everything you wanted to say has already been posted?
Totally. Although I will say that even though I said what I said, I still found the protest clever. It just would have taken away from my post to say so.

Also, this one would be amused if Casey Hudson didn't realize the implication of the ABC cupcakes.

OR IF HE THOUGHT THEY TASTED DIFFERENT!

Both would amuse me! :3

I don't care if it's a bitchy thing to do, that is absolutely brilliant.
My thoughts exactly. I've thought that every part of the entire ordeal has been stupidly immature. This, though? This is just too clever for me NOT to laugh and congratulate them.

People should protest like this all the time!
But if they did everyone in (insert hated game company here) will get fat.

First they should have spent several months building up the cake delivery by telling Bioware that they would be getting many, many different types of cake, that they won't be anything like tradition cakes and that their previous choices regarding cakes would have a significant impact on what type of cake they would eventually get.

This is funny and all but these hardcore bioware fans are behaving like some jilted psycho ex-lover. Now hardcore bioware fans, its time to let go. Things ended badly but everyone had fun. You should move on, no more legal action or cupcake protests... just let it go. Do not worry I'm sure dragonage 3 will have plenty for you lot to get pissed off about again.

I only say this because I'm slightly worried some nutcase is going to try kill someone at bioware.

Gabe would probably drive Valve into the ground if they did.

They sent red, blue, and green cupcakes with A, B, and C's on them to Bioware? And they all tasted the same.

*slow clap* Bloody fucking brilliant. Seriously props all around. And the fact that Bioware gets the joke is even better.

At least while they are doing this they might complain a bit less in other ways. And on top of the humour value, the fact that they went to such an effort to get creative means that even if you disagree with their views and methods, you can at least admire that they aren't just complaining on forums about it.
In fairness there's been a lot more than just whining going on, which is why I get a little snarky when I hear the kneejerk "winers!" comments.

I have to say that this is fiendishly funny though and I hope that BioWare can see the joke (and enjoy the cupcakes!)!

Its hard to hate very clever protest

Too bad it'll probably go well over the developer's heads and they'll all go "Cupcakes? I'll just snag whatever's left after the rest are done"
Kinda like everyone else and used games sales, am I right?

Ba dum Ksssh!

CAPTCHA: Sun Tzu Says... (Make war, not love? I dunno, that's all it said)

Alright, what the FUCK? I had to hit the reload button on the capthca thing 7 times before it stopped asking me to enter fucking advert lines. This is getting scary and I don't like products I DON'T WANT OR EVER WILL WANT being foisted upon me in such a manner. It just feels manipulative and sneaky.
And here I thought I was the only one that reloads the captchas til I get a non-advertisement one!

Wow.

Generally, I think the whole protest over ME3's ending is pretty silly (if people sued every time a game said it would have features it lacked, then Peter Molyneux would long since be bankrupt or in prison), this... this is actually pretty clever.

Kudos.

Whether you support the protestors or not, you've gotta admit that this is hilarious.

This is prolly the single most clever protest I've heard of.
