In all seriousness, there are lots and lots and lots and lots of very girly anime out there. In fact, I remember seeing a Twilight manga book.

If you can track it down, Sailor Moon is what got me into the genre.

Higurashi no naku koro ni is waaaaay too extreme for a first time anime watcher.
