Anime wtf moment

Samurai Champloo's baseball episode. It borders friggin' racism they way they portray Americans. Especially the voice-overs contain a high level of WTF.
That doesn't even show the worst (or best, depending on your perspective) bits.

I still love the show, despite this it's quite low on em, Japanishness, or typical animé stuff you see in that anime. I tend to avoid typical, regular animé.

Pretty much any scene involving the Rail Tracer in Baccano, before you know what it is.

When Baccano! ended.

I wanted to throw a Molotov Cocktail through FUNimation's window.

FUNimation doesn't have anything to do with either the ending, or the fact it ended.
Frankly, I'm surprised how good of a job FUNi did with Baccano. It's actually a lot better than the original.

In the first scene of Hitman Reborn's fourth episode, Haru falls off of a high wall, then somehow does a flip and land on her feet, shouting "YATTA" after she lands. I've seen weirder, but that still gets me every time.

Everything from the art style to the story to the cliches.

Oh and the filler.
Naruto Shippuden filler eps: 57-70, 91, 93-111, 144-151. Total: 41/156
Bleach filler eps: 64-109, 128-137, 147-149, 168-189, 204-205, 227-265. Total: 121/266
Of worthless, throw away, middle of interesting arc, enjoyment killing filler. Not even back story, just throw away crap that has no meaning whatsoever.

Firstly, my favourite anime wtf is in the original Japanese of Elfen Lied when Yuka asks Kohta to perform a sexual act involving her boobs. I was honestly stunned, then in stitches.

Secondly though, a question: Why are you watching Naruto and Bleach? Actually why is anyone watching Naruto and Bleach? They have got to be THE WORST ANIME EVER, period! Go watch the decent stuff (not Elfen Lied mind you)that isn't designed for dumb teenagers and other morons in an arrested state of development, America, I'm mostly looking at you!

Speaking of WTF anime the whole Gintama series is pretty wtf, provided that you have sufficient knowledge of Japanese culture. It's kind of like Futurama but with samurai and alien invasion instead of cryogenic.

Also the new Arakawa under the bridge anime that came out this season seems to be pretty wacky too.

and a few episodes of ergo proxy had me scratching my head...but I think my favorite was this one

Because Naruto is good for just sitting around watching mindless action. And when its not doing fillers the action is pretty damn good.
But honestly dude, Gankutsuou, Lain, Evangelion! Sorry, I am gonna have to take your kneecaps for daring to call those GOOD. Hell even Bebop is merely "okay" but Lain literally put me to sleep and Evangelion is a prime example of everything anime should avoid.

While not wanting to start another discussion about Evangelion. I do want to point out that anime industry today could learn a lot from Evangelion instead of avoiding it. First of all it has an original story instead of an adaptation. It uses characters to drive the story even if all the characters are f*cked up in the head (which is actually the director's intention), instead of having characters merely do whatever the story deem fit at the moment. The characters in it all have depth instead of shallow cliche anime character type designed solely to attract specific group. And last of all it's designed by a man with a vision instead of a committee that just want to make a product sell.

My WTF moment was the first time I saw Ichigo's banki in Bleach, I was like WTF thats it? Just more speed.... Everyone elses summons some badass power but noo it just makes him faster, then later on even his banki seems like it's just a brisk jog compared to the enemy's. Like WTF I thought the banki was supposed to be the ultimate weapon...

Basically, when I started watching Gurren Lagann.
Pretty much when it started, I was like: "WTF am I watching?" because it blew my mind, then it got really awesome and I was like: "WTF makes this so cool?" as I watched in an enthralled state of glee, and then I was like: "This is awesome."

Pretty much that. To a lesser degree when I started watching Bleach, but the experience was rather the same.
