There's a couple things wrong with that story. First, Anonymous does virtually everything through the internet. Without the web, they cease to exist. Secondly, the internet isn't just one big entity. You can't just bring it to a halt by putting one program out. You would have to bring down communications towers, destroy the servers of every ISP that exists, and the reaction from all that would NOT be beneficial for Anonymous, or whoever decides to try this. It's too stupid an idea to get enough followers from Anon, or from anywhere else for that matter.
I'd not believe that statement.
Here is what im getting the program basicly severs a link between 2 points which causes the net to find away around it it does this alot in many places causing so many updates the internet comes to a halt.
That doesn't defeat the basic logical argument that Anonymous operates
through the internet. It's like a company in a strip mall with lots of competition deciding to burn down the entire strip mall because buisness was difficult. Yes, it was difficult, but it's going to be even MORE difficult when the public learns that your company burned down the mall and destroyed buisness for everybody. Compare 'buisness' to ideals, and you have a general comparison about why this is a really counterproductive idea.
Plus, even if you could sever the internet feed for one location, you would have to do that millions of times, hacking through hundreds if not thousands of variations of malware defense, something that's waaaay to extreme for any program. it would require VAST amounts of money just to be able to get a hacking computer that would be able to handle the processing alone. I'm not even sure about how they would go about accessing ISP's servers.....ALL OF THEM. Like a few people have said, you can't just hit the off button on the whole damn internet with one program. After all, it's still just a program, and it would take
decades to find and shut down every internet server and link.
