Actually, if they handled the whole sword thing as a way to add a timing element that could quickly and effeciently dispatch enemies, I'd think it would be a welcomed addition to the 3D realm of Sconic...
Of course, we all know they're gonna screw that up.

They keep getting funding from people like my good buddy. Every time they announce a new Sonic game, he gets super-hyped, then when it's released he goes out and beats it. While he's busy beating it he keeps telling me how awesome it is. But once he's done he takes a look back and says "wait a second, that SUCKED". But alas, he repeats this same thing over and over.
Me, I looked at the Sonic Unleashed trailers and immediately expected suckage. This game has the potential to be decent because they're moving away from the old ideas. I have no intention in buying it but I don't think it could be any worse than the last few games they've released lol

Oh my. I already knew about the sword thing, so that's not surprise, doesn't make it any worse to see it in motion. Basically, I haven't touched a Sonic game in ages (well, since Sonic Rush) but it still makes me die a little whenever what latest addition they have made to the Sonic "gameplay".
