So I was walking home from college minding my own business, when I saw a poster of Obama with the Joker face paint and with the words "Why so socialist?". At first I was surprised and started laughing. But then there is another poster at a near by bus stop. Then another and another and another. The town's main road is literally littered with these posters. Also I noticed another poster next to it talking about "Swine flu genocide" and "Don't take the vaccination". (WTF!?)Now I'm all for free speech and all but this seems a bit too much. Not to mention Obama looks freaky with that face paint.

Has this happen in your town? Can anyone please explain what these posters are talking about?

Any help will much appreciated.

Be polite. No bashing or flaming please.

Edit: I get the Obama Joker one but the swine flu poster has me confused.

People think Obama is socialist because he is actually exercising his presidential powers.

As for the swine flu posters, all I can say is that a conspiracy is all around us! Swine flu is obviously caused by a galatic organization called the None Human Killers, also known as the NHK!

It always amazes me how involved US citizens seem to get with their politics, for some reason in the UK everyone just bitches about it but nobody would take the time to create posters showing their opinions or anything.

The posters may be stupid, but at least people give a damn I suppose.

People have the right to state their opinions. You might not agree, but they can still state their opinions in any way they choose.

People think Obama is a socialist because they have no idea what socialism really is, or why they are scared of it really. The whole attitude is rather creepy, either the far end right has gone completely nuts or racism has a lot to do with what is going on. Strangest poster I saw was one saying no socialism and no walls, I mean no walls?

Here in America we have prominent lunatic fringes that enjoy making creative and colorful posters.

Obama is socialist by definition I think, or at least more socialist than the right, what you should do is actually start some kind of intelligent debate by writing on some posters "Why is that bad?" See if anyone can answer that.

PS: No, I have not seen anything like that but now I will be looking...I now wish to see jokbama.

People are retarded. They all thought Obama would bring heaven to earth, and when that didn't happen they get pissy again...

so they are saying that obama is a sociopaths who kills people just cos it causes chaos and cos it's "fun". that makes little sense if you applay it literally.

also, who goes around putting up posters telling people not to take a vaccine to a semi-dangerous virus.

That sounds like... Trolling?

I've seen people use their free speech to go on about convoluted bible clones and aliens being the genetic experiments of demons, and I've wasted too much time trying to find some logic or even understand the people who are saying these things. So these days if something doesn't open intelligently, or reasonably I usually don't dignify it with more of my time.

Those posters don't make much sense to me, so I would just dismiss them. A troll with a lot of resources is still a troll.

Before I say anything, where in the US do you live? I'm curious.

Personaly, as much as I'm up for free speech too, I think it's just the Republican version of what Democratic supporters did to Bush. However protesters with a conservative view take things more out of context and serious, and do things in protests and signs that make people go WTF way more than Democrat protesters. I'm pretty sure the next time America gets a bad Republican president, Democratic supporters will protest, and when any Democrat president arrives in Washington we'll have the same posters and protests by Republicans as you're seeing now.

EDIT: Oh yeah I'm not American, so if what I said doesn't match up, I'm sorry. I'm just stating what I've noticed since Clinton.

That's because most people are simple minded and have very short attention spans. They expect immediate results for everything and if they don't get it they go to the extreme when it comes to complaining about it.

I don't mean just in politics or the US either.

Its from 4chan, its supposed to be a parody of Republicans' portrayal of Obama as a socialist by parodying him as a power mad maniac, the nemesis of a vigilante whose hard on crime style fits far right republicanism like a glove.

So they are people who have alot of posters saying something you don't agree with. I still fail to see the problem.

I will laugh so hard once he changes the healthcare system to the system that he has been talking about (which sounds a hell of a lot like Canada and so many other countries) and people just stop going on about how it will doom all of the U.S, as for the Swine Flu thing just don't listen I have not heard of many fatal cases in ages.
