Obama's actually the definition of a centrist (almost), but it's skewed by how batshit insane the far American right is and how very right wing the not insane American right is.UbarElite said:Obama is socialist by definition I think, or at least more socialist than the right,
I looked and couldn't find anything, what's the name of the group?NoMoreSanity said:There's an Anti-Obama Group on the Escapist
You sir get a big goddamn cookie for the NHK reference.Emphraim said:People think Obama is socialist because he is actually exercising his presidential powers.
As for the swine flu posters, all I can say is that a conspiracy is all around us! Swine flu is obviously caused by a galatic organization called the None Human Killers, also known as the NHK!
Where can I buy a posterArmored Prayer said:So I was walking home from college minding my own business, when I saw a poster of Obama with the Joker face paint and with the words "Why so socialist?". At first I was surprised and started laughing. But then there is another poster at a near by bus stop. Then another and another and another. The town's main road is literally littered with these posters. Also I noticed another poster next to it talking about "Swine flu genocide" and "Don't take the vaccination". (WTF!?)Now I'm all for free speech and all but this seems a bit too much. Not to mention Obama looks freaky with that face paint.
Has this happen in your town? Can anyone please explain what these posters are talking about?
Any help will much appreciated.
Be polite. No bashing or flaming please.
Edit: I get the Obama Joker one but the swine flu poster has me confused.

The posters may be stupid, but at least people give a damn I suppose.
I agree. It seems that what ever he does he is condemned and if he does something remotly in the interrests of poor people then he is laballed a communist and facist. I think people are just acting all silly because the person they voted in is actually doing what he said he will do. This is my perception and as i don't live in the US then i don't know the whole facts but still i think people should give him a chance. I agree, my friend gets in my face a lot because I like Obama, and he always says he's evil because he's passing bills that will doom us, yet he doesn't bring up any other possible way the economy could be fixed, like many conservatives I've heard..Squid1316 said:I think that the posters are a bit shallow, they've been around since Obama started sweriously running.
When George W Bush screwed the pooch (Iraq / Economy) there were very people that protested.
Then Obama comes to power and uses the rights of the office to try and mop up and 'Voila' the republicans are ready to jump on his every decision. I don't agree with all of his policies, but still...
Personally, I think most of it is just the conservative anger at Obama for winning the election

Sadly, those ALREADY EXIST. They're called doctors. If an organ comes in, who decides who gets it and who does not? Even if the death panel propaganda was real, it wouldn't matter.
Actually it's illegal as all hell. Not to mention most of the places he would visit were in blue counties and in the case of Montgomery, actually had a Democrat mayor turned Representative (Which sucks cause he was an awesome mayor)metalmmaniac said:I've seen those posters, as well as some depicting him as Hitler. once again i agree with you good sir , cake? This is why i like the British system of the 3 main parties but there are smaller parties that are able to gain significant control. People forget about the lib dems but they played a big role in British history for the past century. I don't get the ooo evil communism thing? :S He isn't communist gah. I'll stop now before i'll go into one big rant and eat some cake.TheDoctor455 said:Actually, since it's more the right-wing that's doing this, it's just because he's doing what he said he would do, and he isn't the candidate that they wanted in office. Sadly, this sort of thing is inevitable in a democracy with 2 dominant parties... (sigh) if only the other parties in America could gain enough power in Congress AND produce a REASONABLE candidate for president. Ah well, there I go on one of my dreamy little tangents.
