Eh,then you advertise outside that loop of no topic discussion areas. Not really much to it really,I mean a lot of people know of fort already from people spreading the word.kettlefirer said:Psycho Cat Industries said:Yeah, first person and you start out as a single person in a small tribe of cultureless drone-like people and develop from there to more opinions, reasoning and action. You could rule the world in one life then be a nothing in the next.Battles would be epic. Also, for your game idea,I call climbing the flag pole onto the roof to chuck dynamite into oncoming swarms of undead!kettlefirer said:Very true, I agree, I have nothing against someone trying to bring in Minecraft to Xbox in a different way to almost open up a market. Shame the indie games don't seem to get enough coverage. That would be awesome for an RTS like Rome:Total War where you shape history.Psycho Cat Industries said:Yeah, but if we aren't getting it on 360,and I have as crappy a laptop as I do,how else am I gonna get in?Just the proposition of game design in a game has always scored points for me.Its probably why I love the forge mode in Halo so much. The only real down side is the simplicity factor that comes with designing something like that.An entire first person game where you control what you're people do and they have their own will to shape history would be amazing!kettlefirer said:Psycho Cat Industries said:Like Minecraft with deadly zombies?kettlefirer said:My one is a big zombie game MMORPG or co-operative zombie survival, but not like Left 4 Dead's linear, easy shooter feel. Well apart from witches and tanks.
My idea is in the day you can do out freely and look for weapons and survivors etc. find a new place to hold up. At night zombies attack and you have to survive and keep playing. Possibly character leveling and perks, not sure if it would work though.
Thoughts on this idea, would like to hear any other ideas too.
As for me,get a game centered solely around creation.G-mod and minecraft are two examples that people love. Why not make more? That's why I can't stand the hate fortresscraft gets. There should be a whole genre just for that like if Spore turned out well
Yeah in a waybut realism graphics and an actual struggle to survive.
I think people don't like fortresscraft partially due to it being a rip of Minecraft almost completely. I like it myself. I loved Spore also.
Edit:Well what was Minecraft? An indie game that no one har heard of that got lucky and proved to be amazing.Spade tied to a rake. Spake. I'm sorted.Psycho Cat Industries said:Yeah, first person and you start out as a single person in a small tribe of cultureless drone-like people and develop from there to more opinions, reasoning and action. Very truebut the coverage, especially on consoles, is very low.
The xbox has an indie games community but it's not exactl thriving, however there are some excellent games. ZP2KX springs to mind straight away.
The closest thing to that might be an Assassins Creed game, set in feudal Japan.socialmenace42 said:A REALISTIC Ninja stealth action game. No one seems to havegot it right yet. I want Sam Fisher in Feudal ancient Japan, useing all the hallmarks of traditional Ninjutsu, fighting your opponent only when unavoidable and when forced then using as many strategic advantages as possible. Running away from your target and either throwing spikes on the ground so that he impales his own feet or scrambling up a tree and iceing him with a bow. That's the kind of Stealth game I would line up at 12 midnight to buy on release day.
Not played that one yet may give it a gomushy262626 said:so like fallout 3/new vegas?A Username Not In Use said:The FPSRGP. I liked the idea of Boarderlands but due to its limited story and sparten setting I found it very dull which disapointed me greatly. What I would like is for someone to make a much more in depth RGP game with support characters who could be used in multiplayer based on the Boarderlands engine.
Honestly it's more of a MOBA. Think DotA or LoL, except you're a Pokemon. It'd work.Onyx Oblivion said:RTT, then. Still bloody fucking awesomesauce!Raiyan 1.0 said:I won't be an RTS anymore, though. It'll be more like an an RTT.Onyx Oblivion said:Pokemon RTS
But without any base-building or resource management. Just you managing a squad of Pokemon in an arena with varying battlefields.
Still 4 moves only, 6 pokemon only, and still with leveling and EXP.
Awesome idea, though. Imagine a Pokemon game with DA:O combat! It won't be all 1 vs 1 - instead, all of your Pokemon would be fighting against all of your enemies' (lets say, a bunch of Team Rocket Grunts) Pokemons at once. Only during official matches (Gym Leaders, Battle Arenas) will 1 vs 1 battles be possible. Also, add flight combat!
Yeah, I like that idea. It's an infinitely better idea than an MMO too.Onyx Oblivion said:Pokemon RTS
