Any good JRPG reccomendations?

Okay thanks for the link. I'm sorry for the needless topic, I just joined so I wasn't aware of another recent thread.

And to the people who said Mario RPGs, I've played them and loved them, but I wasn't sure if hardcore JRPG fans would consider them to be "real" RPGs...

Does it have grind?

If it doesn't have grind, it's not a JRPG.

I don't like them that much, but a friend of mine likes Fiesta, a free downloadable JRPG. It apparently won some awards.

Fiesta is a Korean MMO.

For me, JRPGs are like internet machinima. For every good one, there's like four or five not so good ones.

Don't forget Lost Odyssey! That game is made of win. And ALL of the tales games. Tri-Ace ftw.

I would recommend any of the Shin Megami Tensei games out there (there are tons of them including an MMO) as well as Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia, and my personal favorites, Shadow Hearts 1 & 2, only play 3 if you have a burning desire to ignore the first two games in favor of a much lighter, ridiculous, strange game. Other notable ones for me were Chrono Cross, Tales of Symphonia, and Fire Emblem.
