Well if you want to talk about a really bad game made reciently then I'm gonna have to go with Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust. This game was so bad it just goes to prove that just because a game is built using the Unreal Engine doesn't make it a good game.

The camera control and physics are really bad, and if it wasn't for the humor it would have been a complete disaster... that is if it wasn't for the fact that 3/4 of the way through it felt like the writers just gave up and found something shiny to distract them.

Play Two Worlds.
The patch fixed the frame-rate a teeny bit and there's a way to fix it up more on the Xbox 360.
"To disable the grass and shadows:

hold right and left bumpers
(a bar should come up and a hand/finger pointer thingy)
Hit X
(keyboard should show up)
"type" engine.grassq 0
OR
engine.shadows 0
Hit Start/Done
Hit A"
I actually borrowed that from a friend just to see how terrible it really is. And man it's a doozey, I'm trying to get him to buy Damnation next.

But yeah, those two and the newest Alone in the Dark.

Oh no. Not stuff like... Bee afraid?

I'm going with Two Worlds, the dialogue was the epitone of 'hilariously bad'.

There was a game on Dreamcast (I think it might be on another console too) called Bangaio (probably spelled that wrong). It is hilariously poorly translated dialog and it's actually kind of fun too.

The best part is the fucked up game over screen. I can't seem to find a pic of it. It has like a naked white guy that looks like he just lost the towel around his waist and he appears to be running away from someone hiding in the bushes trying to take a photo of him. And it's subtitled "Hey I can still..."

The first game that comes to mind for me in the last 6 months is Prototype. Maybe id like it if I was like 5 years old.. otherwise its pretty boring after the frist 10 minutes of gameplay. Dont get me started on controls.

Played Robocop vs Terminator on SNES recently.. I dont know how that combination could go so wrong.

Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi.

This game was absolute painful to play, and that's coming from a dyed-in-the-wool Star Wars freak. It was made worse by the fact that I got the game back when I was just a little kid. See, my parents were fairly open minded about gaming, but they believed in strict moderation. Getting new games was limited to birthdays and holidays, meaning I played the hell out of every game I owned, even the bad ones, just to squeeze every last drop of playtime out of them that I could manage.

I'd say I easily logged well over 50 hours on Teras Kasi, even though I hated it. I'm intimately familiar with that piece of trash, so take it from me; You want to play a bad game? I mean, really, really bad? Like, Superman 64 bad? Try Teras Kasi.

Monster Garage. I got stuck on the first car because I forgot to take out the Windshield and put it back in. I really wish I was kidding.

Superman 64. My friend told me how awesomely bad it was and when I didn't believe him, he forced me play it. I've never played a game so poorly made and frustrating I just had to laugh. At one point, superman doesn't even have all his powers. Seriously, there is a reason its known for being one of the worst ever made. Playing it is like trying to crawl a mile on your stomach by using your teeth to move forward.

I've never gotten those either. I guess it's a step up for those crazy old guys who get dressed up to play with train models.

Legend of Dragoon. the last truly entertaining horrible JRPG translation.
Even so, I wish they would re-release that on PSN.

When that game originally came out I really wanted to get it but I didn't have the money. Now I'm glad I didn't.

Prince Caspian, the video game. You take place in the past.... You have to fight to win for the Narnians, but you can't because of cutscenes. It's hard to believe the narnians lost, because the guy I played as, chopped everybodys head off. When I killed the man operating the catipult, it didn't madder because the catipult magically loaded and fired itself.

Was that the one they reviewed on Xplay? the one where you never raced because the other cars didnt move and every bridge you went over you would fall though?

oh absolutely. the game itself is fine, it's just the translation is hilariously bad.

it's rare finding a bad game you can actually enjoy playing. i can't even think of any other real good examples off the top of my head. the best i can think of is orphen: scion of sorcery. i only got it because years my dad offered to buy me a game out of the bargain rack and that was the best looking one they had. i can't even remember that much about it, other than i still go into gamestops and see how much it sells for used. ($3, last i checked.)

oh, and maybe DMC2, which i've still never played because no one would sell it to me. i tried to pick it up once for $8 and the guy said "No. Don't buy it. Dante's a pussy, the game sucks."

There are train simulators??? I'm guessing there are games about everything now..
There are even City Buses simulators. I am not kidding. I read a review about it on PC Gamer magazine not one year ago. I have not the link at hand, but I am sure that a quick googling would bring it up for the inquisitive.
