any major franchises you never got into?

RPG's in general. I'm a completionist, so they irritate me.

Im gonna get heat for this but i also didn't get into Mass Effect. Played a few bits and i just quit. Just wonderin' if the 2nd or 3rd would be better.

Mass Effect 2 is a lot better, and I really liked Mass Effect 1.

My games I never got into:

Half-Life (Got Orange Box for Portal and Team Fortress, comp couldn't run Half-Life)
Final Fantasy (And XIII did absolutely nothing to plead its case, although I do like FFTA)
Oblivion (Leveling up is such a pain in the ass. Tried it, preferred Fallout.)

Zelda (A Link to the Past was good. I played most of OoT)
Earthbound
Dynasty Warriors
Street Fighter

Lots of others I can't think of at the moment.

You shouldn't get into the franchise. Only the first game was good, and there was no nudity in that one.

I never played a Zelda game, either. I was always a PC and Playstation kid, although I did play Mario games on gameboy...

Also, Halo because I had a PS2 instead of an Xbox. I was late to the party on Reach, so I think I was never able to enjoy it as much as I would have if I had played Halo before.

Final Fantasy. Which is odd because I normally do like the JRPGs I play, I was just never a fan of the cool down turn-based combat. But I think it's starting to grow on me as I slowly go through VII.

Speaking of that: do party members not in combat get EXP from it in Final Fantasy VII?

Those are the two that are on the top of my head. Dunno... I'm too tired to come up with any witty criticism other than they just never interested me and looked very generic and copy/paste.

Why do some people write Halo in all caps? It makes no sense; nearly every game, movie, and book has the boxart/cover title written in all caps but Halo seems to be the only one for which anyone transcribes these all caps to regular text.

Legend of Zelda. Can't say it was without effort, I tried playing Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and the original. Got bored with all of them.

i might be a freak but not in a good way here
i never really got into ANY franchises...none that i can think of. especially console-exclusive franchises.
