It's enough to get the feel of the game. However, it's not enough to review it, or at least it shouldn't be. Would you trust a movie review where the reviewer only watched the first 30 minutes?oliveira8 said:8 hours is more than enough for a reviewer to learn the gameplay, get the basic feel of the levels and story.Jandau said:8 hours is enough to review Portal, not a game of any actual size. And it's definately not enough to review a serious sandbox game. Specifically, no one should review a game they haven't finished (and played fairly thoroughly) unless there's a damn good reason not to finish it. If you want to comeplete everything and see all the endings/cutscenes/stuff it will probably take more than 8 to 10 hours.
So you bought/played it already?scoHish said:It's one of those games you can run around and ignore the story and still enjoy yourself, so I'm a fan of it. The melee combat isn't exactly deep, but if you use the projectile powers it feels like a third-person shooter. So if your into that sort of thing give it a shot.
It's released tomorrow where I'm at. I don't know buddy, I was able to play a little inFamous the other day and I'm pretty impressed (since the games are often compared to each other being extremely similar) too bad it's for PS3, though and me being a 360 man. But I don't see why a port wouldn't be possible in the future...Erana said:Wait, its already out?! Damn, am I clueless, or what?
To be honest..you can finsih alot of games in under 8 hours(main quest without doing sidequests, hidden objects etc etc)Jandau said:It's enough to get the feel of the game. I'm not saying the reviewer should finish every tiny detail of the game, but at least play it from start to finish once. Without that, you're simply not doing your job.
Over time, your armor starts getting weaker and weaker as it gets damaged. Now imagine for a moment, that you are fighting a boss, and you suddenly notice you are taking a lot more damage. Then again you probably won't be wearing the same armor for too long because of auto leveling and that weapon you wanted feels a lot less awesome when you do get it because it won't be long until you get a better weapon.BolognaBaloney said:Armor degradation? I haven't played it yet, please explain.hopeneverdies said:Sorry, the whole armor degradation and controls just pushed me over the edge.devildog1170 said:Hey asshole, that's my review. Sorry I didn't get caught up in the hype train and expected it to be the best game ever. After a boring summer, it was nice to have a hack'n'slash game.
That's not quite the compliment you think it is.Fangface74 said:in fact the story, gameplay and it's mechanics are pretty much re-skins of H:UD.
What the hell are you on about? I'm going to sleep now so I can wake up tomorrow morning and walk across the street to the videogame store to buy it.terribleyetfun said:DAMN still no release date for Australia and that`s one of things wrong with the country I live in.
