Anyone ever had to stop hanging out with a really good friend?

Unfortunately, yes. Mainly because I tend to make friends with people who don't get along with one another. Which, of course, puts me right smack in the middle of things in a (usually vain) effort to patch things up.

Yeah. My best friend from around 5th to 12 grade slept with my girlfriend of about two years when he and she went to the same college, about 45 minutes away from mine. We actually did end up in a fist fight, which is sad, because I weigh around 210 and he's crackhead small, like 130. I broke two fingers on his forehead, but anyone who looked at the asshole for the next month saw the beating he received. So, yeah, don't much hang out with him. I'm still not sure if I wouldn't do it again if I saw him.

I've lost a few friends, they moved away, I slept with one of their girlfriends (I was very drunk, nearly paraletic, I'm suprised I could get it up), they became druggies, they were pricks... the list is fairly long.

It's not stalking if they know you're there.
But yeah ever since i was little i moved a lot so I've lost lots of good friends every now and then i hear about them usually bad news but not much i can do

A lot of my close friends have drifted a bit because of me doing sixth form and them going elsewhere. One of my current closest friends who stayed, I still hang out with him loads, but he's so geekishly embarrassing sometimes and he doesn't realise it. The other day I said I wanted to sit in the shade and this girl I sort-of know said 'Ohh but you won't get a tan'. I was chargin' mah sarcasm cannon when my aforementioned friend jumps in saying 'Yes, let's damage our skin cells on purpose!', and I just look at him thinking '...why'
