Anyone get REALLY excited for a game anymore? (2005-2010)

I do get occasionally excited by games and I try my very best not to - because 50% of time there not good, and the rest of the time I'm so excited I end up completing them too soon and have a 'crash' of being worked up for gaming but not really having something good to game on.
I was excited about Red Dead Redemption when it was coming out. And i was right to be excited, it was a brilliant game, the same goes for Dragon Age: Origins last year, i was crazily excited! I can't wait for Portal 2 and Fallout: NV now!

When I heard about borderlands I was shitting myself with glee.
Modern Warfare 2, which turned out to be incredibly disappointing.

Dead Rising. While zombie films and just zombies in general have been a fad over the last few years, Ive been into them since the 70's and when I heard they were making a zombie game that had the same setting as Dawn of the Dead I started to tremble in anticipation.
The game not only lived up to what I was hoping for but surpassed my expectations. I still play it whenever there is a game draught and I have made new profiles on my 360 just to earn the achievements again.
My only complaint is having to wait four years for a sequel and then finding out that Frank "I've covered wars you know" West is nowhere to be found. But I'm certainly not going to let that keep me from picking up a copy of DR2.

I was very excited about basically every Mario game to date and all 3 Littlebigplanets(PSP version included)
I am SUPER EXCITED for the release of StarCraft II! I seriously think it's going to be a historical benchmark and I am looking forward to seeing the results of it!
That said, my enthusiasm has kind of settled down considering how disappointing the new Battle.net is. But I am still hoping everything will turn out for the best (almost naively optimistic, I know).

I generally exist in a state of utter indifference towards new games and have for years. I lack good pc hardware and can't afford consoles (or, for that matters, WANT a console) so its out of reach anyway.
I was briefly exited for the first mass effect but then it became something other than promised in the trailers, so I didnt care.

I can still remember reading a review of God of War back in 2005, and I got hyped up to extreme levels until i bought it a week after release, it was SO worth the money, I love that game.
Other things I've been super excited about is God of War II & 3, Uncharted 2 and some other games too.

I used to get really excited for games. I remember finding a game I like and reading everything I can on it before buying, mostly cause my parents would only get me two games a year. (Birthday and Christmass.)
Now, if I find a game I like, I just go to the store and buy it. You could say that the magic left.
Although I'm really looking forward to disciples 3, Mostly cause it's only released in Russia for now and there's no current release date for the Americas.

Wha...? People actually like wrestling games? Anyway I'm ball-bustingly excited for Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Final Fantasy Versus XIII.varun619 said:
