Tell her to mind her own business and blow it out her ass. Thats what I do every time she thinks I'm up to something that I'm not. Or even if I am, its none of her business.
...If you are under 18 though, she can be held legally accountable for the shit you do, considering how serious it is and what the outcome is.
16 for us Aussies =D

I can't speak for anyone else but I was an addict of neither vice. In the case of Drugs, I simply had no interest in the stuff (I took my first drink at 19 and then at 21). In the case of sex, I'm quite sure I could have been an addict but the opportunity never arose.

i find the idea that all teens do are drugs and have sex pretty funny, i had to laugh at my friend the other day when she told me her mom doesnt like her hanging out with me because she thinks all we do is screw

Hmm when you think about it then most of my friends that have started to have sex with each other are in fact addicted to it because there is one girl which I knew who jumped from guy to guy because well she was hungry for the lollipop.
Plus my male friend just has sex with his girl friend because he can and then is telling everyone and rubbing it in peoples faces afterwards well I punched him! Yay!
But personally I have never smoked, drinked or copulated in my life and I'm just 16 stop puttinng so much pressure on me :O

One of my friends got involved in some serious gang related crap. Went to parties all the time, got stupidly high an eventually dropped out of high school. He was going back to high school to finish it, till he found he was going to be a father. 3 years later hes a waiter at a resteraunt and he still wishes he hadn't got involved in the stuff he did.

I personally can't drink alcohol due to medical issues that will never change. Drugs and smoking are far too expensive in my opinon, furthermore I think its a social thing. No one I know does drugs, so why would I?

Well I think that's just the way all "simple" (for want of a better word) literature works, relying on stereotypes and trends to build a character.

I don't think it's that widespread an issue, if I'm honest.
Right on all counts.

I have one friend who is like that, but my mum loves him because he is really polite and always helps around when he is at the house. Which is allot. But he is the only one that i know.

I Drank some when i was in my teams, not heavy or to get drunk or anything just to chill out, Never Did drugs but i knew a few that did weed, I never started smoking and still dont, and I lost my virginity after my teens, mostly due to I wanted the 1st time to be with a proper partner I would spend my life with. Does that make me weird?

I don't find drinking (I don't do drug or smoke) all that invigorating compared to some people I know, but I'm also not a virgin and they...well they just drink a lot (a lottt)

but I'm not like addicted to sex...I mean I got dumped by my g/f but instead of desperately looking for more action I'm just like mm okay play more video games - I mean, focus on my studies/work lol

nope, that's respectable

with my serious girlfriend, I would've married her if she had just waited (and endured the challenges of life)

As for the topic, I think that this perception that teens are hedonists is a bad thing for peoples perceptions of young people. Granted, I find that most teenagers I meet (I am one) are a bunch of loud attention whores, I'm probably one of them too, but there's definitely some shining diamonds in the rough. Perhaps it's just that generalization annoys me.
You? ... Like that? Never!

Don't use the term "sex addict". Ever. I would've linked to Penny Arcade, but I can't be arsed.

No.
Personal experience says no.
That whole topic question is null and void now.
The answer is No. A flat no.
/thread.

But seriously, misc. is right. It's only in those books because it sells.
I personally, have not in my strangest dreams even dreamt about taking drugs.

I do drugs, drink, and have sex. It doesn't make me a failure at life, it means I do drugs, drink and have sex.

There's nothing wrong with over-indulging now and then, and I don't let anyone tell me otherwise. Whatever brings a person happiness is their perogative and nobody has any right to look down on others for their preferred choice of happiness-inducing methodology unless its harming them or others around them.

Point out to your mom that rainbow parties are an urban myth. There's nothing to indicate that a rainbow party has ever taken place.
"But alas, as awesome as these parties sound, they turned out to be absolutely, tragically, untrue. According to that wicked cool newspaper for kids, The New York Times, sex educators couldn't find any evidence of even one rainbow party having taken place, ever.

Teens were aware of the slang, but no one had ever been to an actual Rainbow Party. And that's remarkable because it just sounds so totally plausible, and not like something a 15-year-old boy thought up during a masturbation fantasy. Relieved, the busybodies of the world went back to worrying about their neighbor's uncut grass. "
Also, there's my third maxim:
"Never use a work of fiction to learn about facts."

I never use any drugs. I don't even eat candy, as a matter of fact. It's just that the media is always interested in horrible things, so they don't report on the actually quote many people who Just Say No.

I drink alcohol but not to excess and I've never done drugs. Personally I blame skins for the majority of teen perceptions/emulations.
