Are All Teens Drug/Sex Addicts? ...Really?

Well, I was prescribed Adderall to help me deal with ADD. Essentially, Adderall is amphetamine, also known as speed. I got quite addicted to that over the years I've been taking it. And amphetamine has a habit of boosting your libido... a lot. So if I'm not having sex, I'm EXTREMELY uncomfortable, quite literally from the moment it stops. So I'm addicted to both, even though it's been well over a year since I've had sex If I came off the Adderall, I'm pretty sure my sex drive would calm down a bit, but everytime I try coming off the Adderall I go into withdrawal, get depressed and suicidal, etc. etc.... I'm 17, by the way. I'm not too happy with my parents choice of forcing me into taking that stuff.

not just your school :L i am in year 12 now, but all of the lower school - years 9-11 - seem to be getting sluttyer and sluttyer. And walking home today i walked pass a few people who looked about 14, one of which said "i feel like getting high" and another replied "yep - me too!" and this actually really shocked me :L

You know what worse? Parent that bought them clothes, watch anything and do anything is because they are too lasy! I worked a few years ago at gaz station. Everyday, i saw kid tring to buy alcool and cigarettes. I refuse. Than they send the parent. Refuse. Get verbally abuse. tell them to go to the nearest child protection service and end there collective existance. But one mother said to me: "I prefer to give her what she want than deal with the fuss if i don't." She was the mother of a foul mouth 14 years old drug addict girl who slept with a 22 years old junkie that had less brainpower than a goldfish!

I don't have high hope for the future... can you blame me?

Dude, believe it or not, I get the same kinda stuff at the gas station I work at. I'm not stupid enough to let someone just ruin themselves like that. And I absolutely agree with you. Middle to low hopes for the future at best, at least as long as we glorify sex, violence, and the weather ^_^

Oh how I wish I'd done some drugs or got laid at every availiable oppertunity whilst I was a teenager, it would have at least have given me some fond/fucked up memories.

As it is, I have only ever smoked a joint 3 times in my life, have never touched anything else. The amount of people I've slept with is 1. Ok so I drink alot but even that is starting to lose the appeal now I can no longer drink a bottle of whisky to myself and wake up the next day without a hangover and no memory loss.

Basically I wasted the first half of my teenager years being the well behaved obedient son who never went out after school, did his homework, never received a single detention. The second half was spent playing World of Warcraft. Now...now I'm lonely haha.

True. I'm a teen who is a virgin and has never done drugs/alcohol, and most of my friends are the same. I do know groups of other teens that are into that, but for the most part the majority of the people I know avoid that stuff.

Well i did too, but the way you wrote it was ambiguous. Granted, english isn't my first language but i remember my ?college? (it call cegep here, so i can be wrong. anyways, it after highschool)english class. Think about it! His mom should be more worried than her mom, why? Because he a male? Why the words "more worried"? Most of the kids at my high school are completely obsessed with sex and drugs, but my high school is also the one that the American Pie movies were based on, so I don't know if I have the most fair point-of-view. They're pretty annoying, either way, especially because I'm asexual and haven't ever taken drugs.

I wish I was. The series creator actually based the movies on his time attending the school. Not much seems to have changed since then.

On a more personal note, several of my fathers freinds think of me as an "intellegent young man" (apparently) based on conversations we have had when he isn't around. When he is around I struggle to get a word in edgeways.

I seem to get mixed reactions from different parents. Most of them think I'm wonderful, intelligent and caring, and I've had one who was really obvious about making it clear she wished her daughter was dating me instead of who she was dating.

And then the mothers of my exes (stupid plurals) hate me. I got called a man-whore by one and the other thinks im arrogant and cocky. Whereas other parents call that confidence. Go figure.

i'm a straight edge virgin aged 17. i get sick of people going on about how every teen is like some sex mental druggie, when i know its just the popular ones. drugs aren't so bad anyway. well, stuff like weed. for example, there is a school near where i live that has the mostarrests and confiscations of drugs in the area. ironically, 88% of all the exams taken by students going their were passed with a C or above grade...

by the way, does anyone know about any straight edge user groups on this site. i can't find any.

Suppose I should clarify what I was on about there a little bit.

My dad was the village pub landlord when I was growing up so when I say "my fathers freinds" Im basically talking about everyone in the village who goes to the pub he ran and is between (approx) 30 and 80 years old.

Im now 20 and have been out with my freinds in the town a few times started at 17 approx and on those occasions ive got talking with some of the other people there. But on some days when im out with my dad he won't let me get a word in.

Weather? Well, i can't say we glorify weather because the local station is less accurate that looking out the window! LOL

The problem isn't what we glorify. Hell, i hate women that still think that a man should work while she do nothing. They still exist, my best friend's ex was and she could keep a job for more that three week if my friend worked. That because of hundreds of years "OWNING" women like household object. The problem is the impact it has. The "i'll do it because everyone do it". I did drug at some point, once. They said i'll be with the cool crowd if i did. Did it. Run after a forest because i was scare to lose my way home. (not a joke, that really what happen, i swear on my balls!).
They came back to me; "Come on! It was just a little buz, we'll show you how to do it."
My reaction was; " Like I CARE! I don't [deleted] care about what you [AGAIN!] and anyone of those [Sailor talk!] think of me." Few are willing to be left out... but i'll tell you. If you sold your belief, what you think, or change just for attention, Your a whore. Your mind and body are two side of a same coin, if you sold one, your a whore in my book

Imposible. At any rate, your body need "it" (not now, wait a year at least)and will always need it. It a fact of life, and even proven. As for demi-whatsit, i never heard of it. By pronostic is that there no man around you that you really feel attracted to physically. It will happen. If not, i'm sorry for you.
