Lisa Foiles is pretty, she thinks she is more close the model demographic and she said some things about her body that might get me banned for even quoting, and dissed Ben as good looking (wich is odd, because i think he looks so much better than me)and she said he looked like The guy with the glasses, but less appealing.

What?

She doesn't consider Lisa as a good looking gamer 'cos she looks like a model (defeated her own point) and something about her body.

Ben is good looking (again defeating her own point) and who is the guy with the glasses, there must be billions of people that fit that description.

This topic is quite weird, "all people who do such a thing are ugly" how does that even work?

On topic. Due to unfortunate genetics and a love of pasta, coupled with an extreme case of lazyness, I have morphed into a typical "gamer".

I am not that fat (with even slightly baggy clothes I look skinny, it's just my belly looks like I am due to drop a kid)

I have had bad eye sight since about 5, so I have worn glasses so long there is now a noticable groove along my head.

I am really oily skin, which takes a few creams to keep at ease. Bane of my life ...

I wouldn't say I'm attractive ...

I'm quite far on the wrong side of average in the looks/social skills department, but I wouldn't consider myself to be a geek. But that's mainly because geek culture is mired in mindless consumerism, which is something I cannot stand.

I think the people who are truly obsessed with games [to the exclusion of most other facets of life] tend to be a bit on the visually unappealing side, because games offer a pretty comfortable refuge from their intrinsic inadequacy. On the other hand, almost all the gamers I know are annoyingly handsome, and the best-looking guy I know ended up getting hopelessly addicted to Runescape, then WoW.

So.. I don't know.

I really can't trust anyone who says they are 'handsome' or 'sexy' if they are afraid to post a picture of themselves. I hightly doubt anyone here will hunt you down and stalk you if you do. If you say you look good and then don't post a picture, how can we judge? I know most people who are gamers are afraid because then they cannot hide their face, which is one thing online gaming has done for us. But be proud of what you look like or who you are. Even if I looked like the guy from "The Goonies" (Mikey?) I'd still post a pic of me up. I know there's a chance of me getting flamed here, but oh well right?

I always think it's a bit weird when people absolutely refuse to post a picture of themselves. I don't think I'm hot by any stretch, but I'm so totally comfortable with myself that I keep the picture of me in my profile as, well, a picture of me. I really like being able to put names to faces, and I've never once seen a picture (in this thread) were I haven't thought they look a-ok.

Although, screw it, I'm totally fit as fuck.

I'm 28, 6'4 and I know i'm not the best looking gamer around, but so what? I have a great Fiancee who I love, I enjoy gaming a fair bit yeah, but I also enjoy taking our Dog Gizmo for long walks, going to the pub with a great set of mates, especially when we find one that has Kareoke on etc.

Not bad man. Very Decent looking picture. People tend to forget Gamers can be Handsome/Beautiful and attractive.

I should post a more recent picture, but aside from longer hair and the incorporation of Hair gel I haven't changed all that much.

In all honesty I don't look too bad considering alot of my female friends consider me cute.

I went to a Video Games Live concert not too long ago, and I, a pretty cute female gamer in my opinion, was looking forward to seeing the type of crowd the event would gather. I thought it would be a great opportunity to see a rather large number of gamers at the same time and prove that gamers/videogame music enthusiasts COULD in fact, be good-looking!

The fact is, unfortunately, pretty much every male person I saw (I don't pretend having caught a glimpse of everyone who attended the show and I'm sorry for not paying much attention to the female audience) fit the average, stereotypical description people have in mind when it comes to gamers (i.e., slightly, or very, overweight or extremely skinny with both types having the tuft of facial hair as a common denominator).

Let's just say I did not have a magical encounter with my soulmate that night and came to the sad conclusion that most people are correct in their assumptions.

(But hey, I certainly won't mind being proven wrong.)
