I wouldn't say I'm attractive, but I wouldn't say I wasn't either.
Not all gamers are dorky...my fiancee is extremely sexy, and he likes MMORPG's
I'm 22, 6'2, and going to college. Yes, I'm a "nerd" per say...Oxford all the way? XD
The fact, as this thread demonstrates, is that most gamers these days look entirely normal, particularly as the hobby enters the mainstream. Sure, there are some of us who look truly repulsive and vile:
but we're the exception rather than the rule. Even I don't conform to the overweight part of the stereotype; my repulsiveness is largely to do with extreme and irreversible cranial asymmetry. Of course, most of the people here have called themselves somewhat attractive, and in that case, I'm definitely the exception rather than the rule, but then again, there is nobody who has posted a picture who seriously has as many problems regarding their appearance as me.

Here's my girlfriend and I. We are completely functioning 21-year-olds who live together, wash our dishes, dance constantly, cook our own food, play instruments and pay bills... We also happen to spend most of our free time playing video games, painting Warhammer figures, running Tabletop RPGs, and watching sci-fi. Collecting Silent Hill memorabilia and playing Gears of War with your friends every weekend does not make you a hideous mouth-breather... It makes you awesome.
Go me for having a momentary lapse in memory and forgetting my username. Anywho...
I think there are plenty of people who are in the societal category of "attractive" while still being hardcore gamers. Just like any other societal group of life, gaming has its own stereotypes, and just like any other, it also has its exceptions. I for one am a bit of an oddity. I'm young, athletic, and happen to like going outside of my house, but at the same I'm a hardcore gamer. I'm a Gladiator ret paladin, player of games across all consoles, computer builder, book worm, and of course an anime watcher; Yes, I'm about as nerdy as it gets. Granted I don't have nearly the time for any of that as I use to, to which you can thank real life for (School, job, gf thing), but I'm still a committed practitioner of the nerd arts while looking somewhat good at the same time.
Wow...A lot of guy video game fans...Well, I don't see any problem on that, so back on topic.
I guess I fit into the stereotype a bit because I wear glasses, which I believe has been caused by a combination of television, videogames, reading in the dark, and genetics. However, compared to the other girls at my school that don't even play videogames, I'm terribly skinny. I'd show you all a picture, but that would take time, because I don't have one.
Might as well hop on this bandwagon as well. I think I'm somewhat below average, but looks don't count for that much. Self-confidence does, however. And I lack that completely, which is like woman-repellent.
I'd say I'm moderatly attractive, definitely the potential to be quite attractive if I put my mind to it, like working this little belly away and making my chest just a bit fuller.
Anyway, judge for yourself:
And my face up close, I'll spoiler it to not scare people to death:
That picture is a few years old, but my face has changed nothing in the last 2-3 years. That picture is also proof of my nerdiness, because I doubt a non-nerd would have a Cylon and Ezio figurine as decoration, though my game, book and movie collection has grown quite a lot in those 2-ish years.
But alas, despite me trying to look halfway decent, no girl has ever shown interest in me, not through my interests nor my looks. Do I radiate something that repels girls? Is it the glasses?
