Where you live, is it supposed to be an area that big foot roams? Do you live in Loch-Ness?
Are there reported sightings of creatures that shouldn't be there?

I ask this because :

Where I walk my dog alot of the time, I'm getting more and more convinced there's something like a Big Cat living out there (I live in UK so this is not a common thing)
I'm actually fairly clued up when it comes to my wildlife, since I started dealing in exotic pets over ten years ago my knowledge has expanded greatly on the animal kingdom. I've got some experience tracking animals to, I've been on Safari several times and I've been to various places across the globe looking to see the animals I deal with in thier natual state (in my case reptiles).

Anyway, the area in question is a pretty big open expanse of fields, with some farm land, many fresh water supplies, heavily wooded ares too, not built up ares etc.
Something like a Puma could easily go undetected out there, it does get human traffic but not ALOT, and animals like that could slip by un-noticed with ease. It's got access to water, there's alot of other animals out there to predate on, wild hares, badgers, wild deer, as well as the odd farm animal if it needed.
I've found animal carcasses before that have definately NOT been hacked up by poacers and the like, the cuts etc are to rough for a blade.
Also, I recently found the remains of what looked like a Hare, blood on the leafs and ground and on closer inspection, tracks that clearly closed on the animal very fast.

Said tracks was very big, when I say that, my dog is a Rottwieler, he's a very big example (140Ibs, his head is above my hip), there aint many dogs bigger than him, and these tracks made his feet look "normal", you can understand the kinda size of footprints I am talking about.

Also, after getting this feeling such an animal might be out there, I did some reserch. Turns out there HAVE been reported sightings of big cat around my area and the close villages over the last 20years.

SO, do you live somewhere where something like this, or something more fantastical, is reported to be stalking?

My aunt's house is quite well known in my area because over 100 years ago, there was a fire in the house what used to be there and two children died. Even now, my aunt says she hears crying at night and she didn't believe ghosts before. That is about is, apart from some bloke slaying a massive worm near where I live. They even have a monument for it...

The Bunyip.

Actually, Australia has quite a record in "Crypozoology". There's the bunyip, which is said to be a swamp-dwelling beast, as well as reportings of black panthers loose in the Kangaroo Valley area of NSW. Also, people continue to search for evidence of live Tasmanian tigers, even though it is officially considered extinct.

Its interesting, but I'm not sure how much is just wishful thinking.

Well, a bear comes near my house every night. I suppose I could claim it's magic.

The mythical Liver birds live by me, a rather majestic creature with a love of football.

I'm an avid spiritualist. I loved a girl in the UK once and I used to have a sense in the back of my mind where I simply knew how she was feeling. I would call collect to England when I got a bad feeling and ask her what was wrong. I'd find out she was crying because something ahppened to someone close to her. I've seen the odd "Spirit" or two, but there's nothing special about my area

I'm with the OP. I Live in a little village surrounded by woods and huuge fields, i swear i saw a bear Granted in the woods when i was walking my dog. Granted i'm in the UK, it was big and on all fours, even my dog started barking at it, at which point i turned my music up and ran the hell outta the woods. Never returned =]

I live around Atlanta. I hear rumors of the mythical 'good drivers'. But I've yet to see any.

But really. When I was in the country, there was a story about a guy who was camping in the woods and the biggest boar he'd ever seen flipped over his Jeep. Saw pics of big ol' tusk holes in the door. Might be true, might be faked.

We have a local legend similar to the Loch Ness monster. Her name is Bessie (a deliberate rip off, I'm sure). She was first reported in 1817.

She's reported to be snake-like, about a foot in diameter, about 30-40 feet long and a greyish colour.

I live in the state with the Blair Witch. Chessie is supposedly a creature that lives near by me (Though I thinking they are just ripping off the Loch ness Monster). Other then that, I got nothing.
