Are There Any Pokemon That you Frequently Use, Even Though They're Horrible?

Personally, I always find myself using Ledian. His stats are mediocre, his typing is bad, and his moveset isn't great, but I can't help but love the little guy. He always made me think of a Power Ranger crossed with a bug.

So, are there any sub-par Pokemon that you use simply out of favoritism?

I always used Sceptile back when I played Ruby. Back in Gen 3, leaf blade was the only good grass move Sceptile learnt, and it only had 70 power, and was a physical attack despite Sceptile being a much better Special Attacker.

In short, he sucked major donkey balls before Gen 4 introduced Energy Ball and made leaf blade have 90 power instead of 70.

I've only played through a Pokemon game once (still haven't gotten around to finishing B/W 2), but my team eventually had Amoonguss and Crustle on it. Amoonguss didn't have the greatest moves, especially the way I trained him, but I wanted a poison type and he was a pretty good wall.

Crustle is debatable, since he's pretty beastly, but I did find it amusing that he was a rock type who was weak to rock.

I've always had a thing for Butterfree. Not sure why. Something about a psychic butterfly just makes me smile.

Charizard too, but he's not completely awful, just bad.

Bidoof. Also, Ekans/Arbok.
Maybe they're good, but not the way I use em.
I always acquire a Totodile and teach it Fly.

Same here. I usually detest bug type Pokemon because they're boring most of the time and after the first 2 hours of the game you never want to see one again, but Butterfree is one of my favourites. And being able to use Psychic abilities makes up for it.

I even have a plushie of it.

I love having Onix/Steelix rentals in Stadium, despite them rarely being that powerful.

It's just freaking awesome to have your guy tower over the competition.

Pretty much my entire team with the exception of Jolteon is considered "Low Tier" or at best "Mid-Tier".

Despite them typically not being that great, I always have a fully evolved version of whatever the common flying/normal bird is (Pidgeot, Noctowl, Swellow, and probably Staraptor and Unfezant once I play Gen 4/5).

They just look so cool and majestic. :D

That's where the word "typically" comes in play. I completely agree that Pidgeot is amazing. I was mainly referring to the others being lackluster, but still a necessary part of the team.

I've been told Chatot is worthless, so is Butterfree when it comes to PvP. But when combined for a double battle, the results are quite the opposite.

You might want to rethink classifying Starraptor

If there was a definition for the phrase "destructive flying type". It'd be Staraptor, for both PvE and PvP. (Also his look is fucking awesome)

Zangoose.
For a couple reasons actually. For one, it was the first pokemon I ever actually leveled up to 100 (And so far, still the only one I've ever done that with). Plus it's a bad-ass looking mongoose/cat-ferret thing.
That's pretty much it really.
