Are There Any Pokemon That you Frequently Use, Even Though They're Horrible?

Spinarak/Ariados. It's one of those Pokemon that I always want in my team regardless of what I have in my party. I had caught it back during my first run through of Gold, and whenever I see him, it rekindles the feeling of nostalgia that makes me adore Gold and Silver. I remember using him a lot as an assist to capture other Pokemon. I just don't care how crappy of a tier Pokemon he is, I really just hate playing meta-games or competition battles since it promotes you picking Pokemon purely for numbers and strength. :T I wanna make a team that I feel an attachment towards, not one that will win shit-tons of battles.

So, are there any sub-par Pokemon that you use simply out of favoritism?

Not gonna lie, I've totally used a Magikarp as one of my main Pokemon on a couple of playthroughs. Tackle is beastly like that.

Purely so I could say I beat people with a Magikarp.

Bibarel/ducklet because although they are terrible pokemon they make wonderful HM slaves.
Does that even count as using them? (Though I wouldn't have a Bibarel in my party at all if you PAID me - hate that line because it looks bloody retarded)

Audino, Gardevoir, Vileplume, Bellossom, Serperior, Misdreavus, Clefable, Raichu, Cinccino, Wigglytuff... Etc.

It would be faster and easier for me to list the high tier Pokemon that I like.
Blissey, Celebi, Jellicient, Gengar, Ninetails.

(This is based on a quick Google search though, I'm not into competitive stuff)

Well, I'm not the deepest Trainer there is, so... you guys tell me.

My team (probably final) is Hydreigon, Braviary, Chandelure, Carracosta, Eelektross and Heracross. It was originally an all-UnovaDex team, but I swapped Haxorus out for Heracross because I needed Bug and Fighting to round it out. I also have an HM slave Simipour.

The only thing I know for sure is that Hydreigon is considered a pseudo-legendary based on its stats.

I have a hard time using pokemon I know are terrible lol. But occasionally I give it a whirl, because, why the hell not?

I guess probably any normal type with a quirky move. Chansey?

Not counting HM slaves I usually use the flying Pokemon you get early in the game (in Black and White 2 I use Lugia from Dream Radar) and I always keep the first water Pokemon I get in my party for a long time. Right now I am early on in Black and White 2 and I am using Swablu just to get a dragon Pokemon until I can get a Dratini.

Gulpin and Swellot are my favorites but sadly they suck in competitive battling. They kick ass in game though so its all good. I used a raticate once and it turned out pretty well for me.

Well, I don't use any that I consider horrible, but that's subjective. I do know I use a couple in different OU teams that are considered lower tier than that.

Magikarp is generally consider worthless until evolved, but I disagree. I run it on my team with entry hazard Skarmary into baton pass Smeargle into Magikarp. I give it a Focus Slash and then Flail the opponent to death with it at 1hp with stupidly high stats. I've seriously wiped out a team of legendaries before with just one Magikarp XD

Another one that I use often that isn't considered top-tier normally is Umbreon. I slap Rocky Helm on it and gave it Toxic, Mean Look, Bite, and Confuse ray. It's kinda funny seeing an opponent slowly kill itself lmao.

Hey, don't underestimate that Butterfree! With the addition of Quiver Dance and access to Sleep Powder and Big Buzz with the Tinted Lens ability it can be a teem sweeper against some teams.

EDIT: Oh, I love the shit out of Ninjask too. That one is kinda horrible though in a world with entry hazard effects XD

Arcanine. He is my absolute favorite pokemon in the game, but he isn't exactly a top competitor.

Man I remember the old days, when Arcanine was the fastest pokemon in the game, was originally going to be the fourth legendary pokemon, and was one of the only pokemon who could learn extreme speed.

Bulbasaur: grass/poison is terrible, but the first time I saw him as a kid I thought he was friggin awesome. Plus he's the perfect noob starter for the first 2 gyms; and he's the first Pokemon! The very first! That's got to be worth something right?

EEVEE Squad

Not really 'horrid', but not really the best for The Elite 4.

Back in Gen 3, leaf blade was the only good grass move Sceptile learnt, and it only had 70 power, and was a physical attack despite Sceptile being a much better Special Attacker.
All grass types were special before DPPt.

OT: I have a bit of a thing for the fairly naff cats and dogs. Purrloin, Meowth and Poochyena usually have a temporary place in my team, depending on the generation. They probably won't stick around for the league, but they'll be around for a while.

I tend to go for fairly crap stuff to fill out my team until I get the 6 I want.

Out of that team, Hydreigon and Chandelure are high-tier pokemon, Braviary and Elektross are mid-tier, Carracosta is low tier and Heracross is... something (probably mid-high tier, poor bastard changes every generation). Braviary and Elektross are powerful, but their poor typing (Braviary) or low speed (Elektross) limit their usage considerably in competitive.

Doesn't stop either of them being completely beastly in standard play, however.
Sounds like I have a pretty decent team. :D Not that I'm very competitively-minded (can't remember the last time I played against someone else), but it's good to know I'm not the worst Trainer on the planet or anything.

Ledian? You, Sir, have my respect. Ledian is a classy, if kinda terrible Pokemon.

Myself, I use Furret pretty extensively (being my favourite Pokemon and all) and I also have a soft spot for Vanilluxe (or should that be...a soft-serve spot!? Thank you, everyone, thank you).

Espeon. It's not the worst Pokemon out there stats-wise but it's not any good for the meta-game. I still love that pink little fuzzball so much. I wish they were real, I'd love an Espeon as a pet. I always name my Espeon "Gumdrop" too, I don't know why. I just think it suits.

Arcanine and Ninetails are the same deal. I love their design and wish I could own one, yet never run them in my teams for multiplayer because their fire type only is a whole lot of headaches in competitive play.
