Not at all. Most of the time I can't even tell if my grammar is correct but as long as it's legible and has some semblance of correctness I'm fine.

I used to be a TERRIBLE grammar nazi, I would correct my girlfriends typing mid-argument and it would piss her off. I'd like to think I've improved since then

I don't really mind when other people use improper grammar, but I try to use it whenever I can. I don't see a reason not to, but I'm not going to freak out if others don't, especially when it is entirely possible that English is their second or even third language.

I'm probably more of a grammar Communist than a grammar Nazi, but still overall a totalitarian grammarian.
I'm glad we agree that we should all share the grammar. Show those grammar capitalist pigs what-for!

OT: I am, but I keep my plans for my own grammatical cleansing in my head. I try not to insult people based on their grammar because it's such a pity thing. But I do die a bit on the inside whenever anyone uses "There" or "They're" instead of "Their" or visa-versa.

I can be, yes. I love pointing out my friends' typos and mistakes. Even when I'm drunk, I often make an effort to correct my spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Let's just say I'd rather see good grammar and spelling than bad.

If I had a shotgun, I'd use it to ENFORCE GRAMMAR!

So yes, I am one. But not the kind that's a douche.

Face it. The Escapist is full of them. I am one from time to time. But were not all Grammar Nazi's. Yet there is some post that take being a Grammar Nazi to far. I was on a thread earlier and the first comment had nothing to do with the Topic. All it was is correcting the person's spelling. Come on. Thats just not right when its one word. Then some one else did the same thing. I mean at least post something that can relate to the thread. So are you a grammar Nazi? Like one that will only say something if a lot is spelled incorrectly or if one word?(For instance the beginning of a forum)
Were? More like We're.
Grammer Nazi's? Incorrect apostrophe use.
All it was is correcting the person's spelling? Poor grammer.
Thats? Should be That's.
Its? Should be it's.
Some one? More like Someone.
Will only say something if a lot of spelled incorrectly or if one word? Poor word choice and grammer.
For instance the beginning of a forum? More like at* the beginning of a forum and you forgot the full stop.

I'll let you guess the answer to your question.

Note: I was torn between whether "that can relate" should have been "that relates" but I wasn't sure if that was a mistake.

I used to be pretty bad, but have dialed it down a bit recently. Though every time I see something wrong I get the urges...

I'm also an abbreviation Nazi - Fallout is one word, FO3 and FONV are WRONG! *foams at mouth*

I've been wandering what traits/characteristics do most people consider a must in order for someone to be able to consider himself a "real man".

Is it a rugged look? Short hair? Balls of steel ? A pink teddy-bear hidden under his pillow ?
I've been wandering around the site untill I found this and now I'm WONDERING how your grammar teacher got his/her degree.
O.T. Just hang around me for a while and you'll know.
Sometimes I can be such a dick.

You forgot to capitalize Nazi. Nazi is a noun and is in your title so therefore it should be capitalized.

No you aren't! Your sentence should read as followed. "Yes, although I am more like Grammar Hitler, I hate it when people don't use proper grammar."

Okay now every one look at this man. Take him as a example of the people who feel the such a strong need to correct every thing I have written. He didn't need to because I got my point across to all of you. This is why Being a Grammar Nazi isn't really needed. He understood what I was saying, but just wanted to show off his knowledge I guess. If you were trying to burn me it didn't work. The only thing that stands out to me know is that you are easily paranoid or else a English teacher.

If someone does something like use the wrong there/their/they're or your/you're, I don't let it bother me. It's pretty easy to get things like that wrong when you're typing out something fast. Hell, I sometimes miss them myself even after proof reading a post two or three times. If the rest of the post is pretty good punctuation and grammar-wise, I just let it slide.

It's only when nothing is capitalised, there's no punctuation and words have been shortened that I ever get angry. Mainly because it hurts to try and figure out just what the hell the person is trying to say.

I'm not a grammar nazi in that I correct people. But, more than nothing else I am driven crazy by people who use then/than incorrectly.

I don't even know how they get them mixed up. I can understand screwing up affect/effect but everyone knows what the word "then" means and what the word "than" means.

I'd like to think it's just a matter of carelessness but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't.
